This was my first time ever traveling outside of the United States, so I was both excited and nervous to be in Japan. I came on a travel-abroad program through my university, so this hotel was chosen by my professor. Hotel Trusty looks very fancy...More
Nice rooms, nice food. The best thing about this hotel though are the incredibly helpful staff. They go out of their way to help you and speak excellent English.

Since check out is 11am, can you store luggage in the reception area until later in the day (about 6pm?). We want to do a day trip to Kiso Valley from this hotel the day we check out, and would need somewhere secure to leave our suitcases until we collect them in the evening.

Echo Yikaikaikaikai. Most hotels we went to in Japan are willing to store luggage for us either before check-in or after check-out. The question though is where you are going after coming back from Kiso Valley. The hotel is a subway station away from Nagoya station. If you are travelling from the train station to another destination after coming back from Kiso Valley, you may want to consider storing your luggage at the train station instead.
