We had a wonderful stay here. The room was large and clean, the service was very friendly, and the onsen was wonderful after a long day touring the city. Although we got a "smoking" room, there was no disturbing tobacco smell.

It was hidden a bit off the centre and took us approx 20mins to walk from the train station (it costs only 1020 Yan if we go by taxi. Taxi would be better option). All the worries were gone when we checked-in, well-equipped (wifi, ice machine, maps and books) nice ambience. Family room is huge in Japanese standard. Best of... More

The owners of Kyoya Ryokan were really friendly. The check-in and out were fuss free. The room was big, clean and spacious. We also got to experience japanese onsen in-house for free. We had the breakfast and dinner package. The food was really good and were all Nagoya's specialties! Before we left, the owner also gave us a all-in-1 snack... More

I just had one night in Nagoya, having decided to stay on after a business visit, so I didn't have much time to explore and it turns out you get such a wonderful Japanese experience right here. A beautiful authentic Ryokan run by a charming 3rd generation host Hiro San. Tatami mats and a zen garden and the public baths... More

My wife and I stayed at Kyoya Ryokan after a sleepless flight from Australia and a long day in airports and train stations. We were a bit skeptical when driving through the hustle and bustle of Nagoya but the ryokan is hidden away and surprisingly quiet. We were greeted by the manager Hiroshi who was very friendly and helpful. Our... More

Kyoya Ryokan was a fabulous retreat from the bustle of Nagoya City, while close to you excellent restaurants and shopping (all underground!). The garden view room was beautiful and spacious, while the garden was a delight. Our traditional Japanese breakfast was served by our friendly hosts, and the onsen at the end of a busy day was heavenly. Highly recommend,... More

Spent only a night in Nagoya and we were impressed by the amenity in Kyoya Ryokan. Need a little time to find the ryokan after we arrived in Nagoya station. The staff is friendly and helpful when we check in. Our room was big with clean and tidy on the first floor with the garden view. It's worth the money.... More
