It's true that the room itself was not gorgeous, but look out the window at some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, and you will be more than joyful. The facility has much wonderful to recommend it, you can bathe until the cows come home. There are stores full of more DHC products than you can every imagine...

- Beware: We stayed in a room on the 3rd floor of the South Building. Seemed to have severe rising damp, probably from the onsen below. - We were breathing in mouldy air all night. All of us had a fever the next day (not sure if it was related). - Despite this we were charged the full 44,000 yen...

We really relaxed this hotel for 3 days during our trip in Japan. We staid in a large and peacefull room with tatami and sight to the ocean. We even found very nice yukata to dress all our stay long. The hotel has 3 restaurants, shops, bowling, tennis court, tennis table room, resting room etc, most of them with a...

Great day onsen on the way to and from Shimoda. Amazing view over the ocean and the nearby coast. You can reserve your private family onsen for yourself. During full moon nights the view over the ocean is epic. Great place. Better reserve, it is always very full on weekends.

I visited the Akazawa Onsen with a friend and my teen daughter. The friend who has lived in Japan many years suggested this beautiful coastal resort. We stayed in a Japanese style room, complete with tatami and futons overlooking a beautifully scenic coastline and cove. It was our first Onsen experience and we felt lucky to have someone to guide...

Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to stay at this hotel, but I did have the pleasure of experiencing the "onsen." Visiting this onsen was like visiting a bathing "theme park" in Japan. It was one of the best experiences I had at an onsen and I hate having to leave Shizuoka today because, I WANT TO GO BACK ONE...
