We spent two nights in this ryokan in the middle of our 3-week Japanese trip. Everyone bent over backwards to make us feel welcome. But our foursome came with very detailed food limitations, and the chef exceeded all expectations. Dinner was an 8 course extravaganza in authentic dishes prepared expertly and presented beautifully despite the limits. Rooms included all amenities,...

It is a beautiful Ryokan in a beautiful part of town, very romantic with huge rooms or rather an apartment, good service, very nice people. The dinner was very well presented and the girl who served us was lovely. The only problem was that the food itself nevertheless how great it looked was not delicious, not even great. True, the...

Kurashiki is not far from Okayama. It is a must for tourists to visit an ancient town. The town planning is very good. There is a small canal nearby. Beside the old but very well preserved building, we could enjoy coffee or tea. We buy high quality green tea from Tsuneki tea shop. Kurashiki is amazing.

Just taje the train to kurashiki station and walk through the BIOS street walk to the canal walking pathway and kurashiki museum. There 're many shops ,cafe , restaurants . You can enjoy the old traditional japanese house in here. This toen 's wellknown about arts jeans and canal boat.

We stayed for two nights and it has been wonderful. It is a traditional ryokan with a modern touch and you have the choice between Japanese and Western breakfast in the morning. Staff is very friendly and the ryokan is located right by the canal in the historical part of the town. Would always recommend and book again.

This Ryokan is the nicest establishments I have ever stayed at. There are just a few rooms in a beautiful old town on the canal. Each suite is very large, boasting a living room, bedroom, office room and separate bathroom and toilet. It is all traditional style with tatami matting. The showers are also traditional onsen style with a jet...

Kurashiki is one place I will have to return to again. It is a part of Japan that one has to personally experience. The culture and history were fascinating. Just hanging out- shopping, eating, people watching was unlike other parts of Japan. It was a very memorable experience.

Back in September 2013 of 2013 I posted a review of the Ryokan and I have to tell you....over 18 months later and on a second visit NOTHING has changed. Without doubt the BEST Ryokan in Japan I have stayed in. This time it was only for one night but it was just as amazing as our last visit. Once...

This small 5-suite ryokan is situated in the very charming Central District of Kurashiki, an area filled with old warehouses converted to ryokans, restaurants and stores that wind along the narrow streets and a picturesque canal. It is great fun to simply walk around in this small area. Because Kurashiki is near Imbe, where Bizen pottery is created, there are...

This ryokan is located at the heart of the historic quarter of the city of Kurashiki, right by the willow-lined canal and across the tourist office. The ryokan is converted from a 18th century warehouse and the building is immaculately preserved, while the rooms are equipped with some modern conveniences such as TV and jacuzzi bathtub. The room is very...
