We spent 2 nights in this hotel. The first one was terrible because our room was close to the electrical transformer for the whole floor generating low frequency noise. I asked to change room , non smoking , for the second night. Unfortunately I was assigned a smoking room, smelling very bad. So I changed for a 3rd room, a...

Close to the Railway staion, just perfect for the business traveler. Very small rooms but very clean, very good beds and everything you might need is available. Breakfast is fine, al you want Japanes style. Western styel offer is a bit limited, not surprising in a area thats hardly frequented by non Japanes customers. overall very good value for money.

We had to take our own suitcases to our rooms and bring them when we checked out. I stayed here for one night. As usual, the room and bathroom were clean. The room was small, but ok for one night. I had read many reviews of cigarette smoke smells in rooms, well there were no smell of cigarettes in this...

Out of the Tokyu chain hotels this one was the best in terms of comfort. The decor in the room was modern. The bed and pillows were comfortable! However, there was no English TV channel available. As the airconditioning cannot be turned down any further than 20deg, we switched it off. The breakfast was excellent compared with other hotels in...

No one oops these hotels because of the amenities , good for night rubbish for a relaxing stay. Beds like all Excel hotels rock hard with a quaint duvet decorated in1972. One pillow and a decor that screams bland , air con won't go below 20 . That said its comfortable , clean and you won't notice anything when sleeping....

Not a great plus to stay. Our non smoking room stank of cigarette smoke it was stuck to the walls, the ceiling, the curtains. .The place stank of smoke. The beds were rock hard and the pillows even harder. The air con barely worked. There must be better places to stay in matsue. I wouldn't stay again or recommend it...

The room was small but the air conditioning functioned and kept the room warm. Not cool but at least the room didn't get hot. Clothes storage space was very limited so again clothes stayed in suitcase. Other room facilities were good: tv, wi-fi etc. Breakfast was good. OK for a one night stay.

For my trip to Izumo shrine, I booked a single room, but lucky for me, they let me stay in a larger twin room on the 8th floor with no extra charge. As someone already mentioned, the elevator smelled like cigarette and room had weird odor when I entered the room. However there was a nice portable air-cleaner in the...

Never again. We booked a double room here and as we walked into the elevator we smelled strong stale tobacco and was immediately put off but never mind - we thought the room wouldnt be like that. Wrong! The room smelled like a full ashtray - so much so that i had a headache within minutes even though i opened...
