Ended up booking 3 last minute rooms when our flight to Sapporo was delayed due to snow. Beautiful hotel, easy to get to from the station. Rooms were spacious in Japanese terms, bathrooms were modern, room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was expensive but had a big selection that would suit many different tastes.

We stayed here for one night on our tour of Hokkaido. The room we had (2204) faced out onto the main road. Since it was snowing, we had a nice view of the weather. The beds were firm, but quite comfortable, as were the pillows and duvet. The bathroom was quite a treat! It was a wet room concept, with the tub in the same space as the shower. I had not encountered the wet room idea before in hotels, but assume it's set up this way here in Japan for the practice of being clean prior to getting into a bath. The toilet has the standard bidet seat. The bathroom has a nice feature I'd not encountered before - ability to hear the TV in the bathroom, with a volume control. Nice touch. The room also had a nice touch - an emergency flashlight located in the desk drawer - great idea. The light controls by the bed were fantastic - ability to dim the lights! We had dinner in the hotel restaurant. Quite a nice buffet spread, including Hokkaido specialties. We also had the included breakfast. Quite a spread that also included the Hokkaido items. The hotel had a Family Mart convenience store in the building - very convenient. The location of the hotel was very convenient to the large department store Aeon next door.

Stayed for 1 night in a superior deluxe room for 4, it was clean, spacious and comfortable. Hotel provides a pillow menu, which we appreciated! There is a shoe plaza across the road which we didn’t get to visit as we had an early flight the next morning. Hotel provides complimentary shuttle (mini)bus service between Chitose airport and hotel but it doesn’t run for a few hours in the afternoon. There is a schedule for it. Would recommend reserving a seat on the bus for the journey to the airport, especially if you’re on a tight schedule. (They didn’t allow reservation of seats from airport to hotel) Would recommend this hotel (if you can’t get a room at the Air Terminal Hotel) :)

I choose this hotel for my last day trip in Hokkaido due to from most of the review showing this is a perfect hotel and would like to end my trip with this hotel. That is why i willing to pay for around 200USD for 1 night stay. But when we reached the hotel and during check in, the receptionist is not even smiling to their guest. I Asked the receptionist is it possible to check in 1 hours early and she just replied with 1 word "no". After that i ask them can you help to keep our luggage while waiting for check-in, she just point to me and say "you can keep your luggage there", but then due to we have 2 big +1 small luggage i am expecting the staff should come to help for moving my luggage to the correct place, but no one is helping. Because my wife is taking cate of my 4 years old kids, so that i need to move 1 by 1 by myself! After checked in, i expected my luggage is moved to my room, but they askede to move my self! Fells like i pay 200USD per night and everything had to done by myself. I am very regret of choosing this hotel! Really disappointed! Wont stay any more! Strongly not recommended.

My wife and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza in the middle of December. The hotel was at the beginning and end of our ski trip to Niseko. Here is the good and bad of our stay. Arriving at Hotel from Chitose Airport: Both stays we arrived to the hotel from the New Chitose airport. The first stay our flight arrived at about 9:00 pm so we took the free shuttle from the airport. The second stay we could not take the shuttle (explained right below) so we took the JR train from the airport and got off the Chitose Station. Cost was about $7.00 I think. Shuttle to/from Airport: If you Google: "Crowne Plaza Chitose Shuttle" you should be able to access the shuttle schedule. Please be aware that the shuttle leaves from the hotel and airport right on time. So if you are running late they might not wait for you. Also the shuttle is not in operation from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, either from or to the airport. So if you arrive or depart between those times you have to use either the JR train or a taxi. The taxi one way cost about 2,100 yen. Checking In: The check in time is 3:00 pm and the hotel is pretty strict on this. The first time checking in I had no problems since we arrived at about 10:00 pm. The second time we arrived to the hotel at about 1:00 pm and we was told we could not check in until after 3:00. Even though I am a Platinum Elite that was not taken into effect. The hotel did hold our bags until we could check in. Room: We was assigned a room on the "newer" tower so the room was a nice size for the two of us plus 4 suitcases and couple carryon's. I cannot say what the rooms on the other side is like. The room had one electrical outlet near the bed and a small size refrigerator. The room also had the fancy Japanese toilet which was very good. During both stays we did not hear our neighbors so the sound was very good. The only thing I did not like, but it is not the hotel's fault is there was only one English speaking channel on the tv (BBC). Everything else was a Japanese channel, which I understand. Location: The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk to the Chitose train station. From there it is about another 30 minutes on the train (express) to Sapporo station. Right across the hotel is an AEON store. The store is open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm and the store has a grocery store, department store, and several other places to eat and shop. It is not a mall where there are a number of separate stores. It is basically a big store that has couple of quick food items and the grocery/department store. There is also a Royal Host restaurant and KFC across the hotel. These close at about 9:00 pm so if you arrive after 9:00 pm, our only place to purchase drinks or snacks was the Family Mart located in the hotel. I believe this closes at midnight. Hotel Restaurants or Facilities: We did not eat at the restaurant or use the facilities so I am unable to comment on them. I was hoping to get a free breakfast but no luck. Staff: The check in staff was very good, they spoke English very well. Checking out was very good, they made sure I did not miss the last shuttle to the airport. We did not ask difficult questions but what we did ask they answered very promptly. I would definitely stay at the Crowne Plaza Chitose again. If you can work around the shuttle schedule and don't mind spending some time on the JR train this is a great hotel.
