New boutique hotel with one of the most delightful and good spread Japanese breakfasts I have had. Every dish is tasty, carefully prepared and displayed. The bread and pastry basket were unforgetable. Well done to the F&B Team. We had the Otaru Port view and on a clear day, we could see as far as the windmill power farm and sunrise. Beddings are clean and comfy. Walking distance to Otaru Canal and shopping street. Next to Lawson and 2 covered shopping street. I am grateful to the room service and front desk teams for retrieving and keeping my items in the safe as I forgot to remove them when I checkout. Their email reminder truly saved the day. I stayed in the Superior Twin Room. Only 1 thing I like to suggest - Do offer an option to turn off the vanity light behind the mirror, it was simply too bright.

Excellent front desk team! Very welcoming & helpful staff. Helped me retrieved my lost item in Tokyo. Able to keep my luggage for a few days when we went to Niseko.

The hotel is very new n modern & very comfortable! Beds and pillows are soft n thick unlike most beds n pillows in Japan which are usually very firm or hard. The view of the habour from the room enhances our stay! Beautiful weather in Otaru, was snowing!

Bath tub was deep n water pressure was really good in the room! It’s separate toilet n shower area.

Onsen was very very good, both open air n indoor. There’s a make up area with lotion n conditioner, hairdryer, mini towel, comb etc. I went for the onsen at dawn ard 6.15, there was usually only 1-3 people. Lovely outdoor onsen overseeing the harbour with the cold air blowing. Felt really luxurious & pampering! Able to enjoy quiet moments in the onsen.

Breakfast was another amazing experience! Japanese buffet and very good seafood stew every morning, with scallops & clams & squids! There’s the usual western spread & a really good japanese breakfast varieties including dessert! The red bean & mochi was really a delight. There’s daily soups too with very good breads. Coffee was strong and it’s from the machine! My family loved this breakfast n was really a pampering experience after the onsen. Location was excellent as it’s a straight road down to the famous canal & Sakaimachi area. 7-10 mins walk from JR Otaru!! Don’t miss this lovely boutique hotel!!

Brand new hotel. Clean and comfortable room. Room is quiet small as all Japan hotel rooms are quite small. Lawson is just a few steps away and is great place for grapping a bite in the night. Walking distance to the famous Otaru Canal and Otaru Sakaimachi Street.

The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the train station. The check-in process was smooth and easy and the staff was friendly. Our room has a view of the ocean. It was clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to the canal and Sakaimachi Hondori Street.

The breakfast was excellent. The public bath was a nice feature. We stored our luggage at the hotel after check-out and went to walk around the canal and the shopping street. It was a very pleasant visit.

Hotel is great! Snall room yet very modern and clean! Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is not so good in my opinion compared to the others but still hotel is great! Food is okay also. Onsen is good with a breathtaking view and very clean also. Has a lawson beside it which is a plus but there is no night life near the hotel.

I've been to Otaru a few times and never thought much of it until this visit. Charming port city, I should learn more about the history. It seems many new lodgings have opened recently and we had a great stay at this hotel. Location is walkable to sightseeing spots. We couldn't hear any street noise from our room. Breakfast had a lot of variety of Japanese-type food and was delicious. On-site fee parking is available after check-in. Public bath looks towards the harbor and is a nice spot to catch the sunrise especially from the outdoor bath. Room was spacious with great amenities and we had great views over the city and mountains. Only issue with the room is all the light switches are in weird places and the main room lights can only be controlled from bedside.

- quite convenient, quite centrally located, opposite to Authent Hotel
- bus stop outside the hotel (walk up for a few steps)
- 3 blocks if get up from Otaru train station
- the size of room is slightly larger than the usual japan standard, new and modern design
- shower is seperated from the lavatory, and washing basin is outside the lavatory
- my room is facing the ocean and get very nice full sea view and the canal through the window
- i personally like the colour tone of the room (decent pale purple)
- public bath/onsen is both indoor and outdoor, size around 5m x 2m, modern design, quite decent, though the outdoor one can be quite windy due to the sea wind.
- the bed is very comfortable (towards the hard side)
- i found insufficient facilities to hang clothings

Our planned trip to Hokkaido was cancelled at the last minute due to a family member being infected with COVID-19. The following year, we took revenge on our trip to Hokkaido after a year! We tried to book the hotel in Otaru that we had cancelled last year, but it was fully booked. We were reluctant to leave the hotel we wanted to stay at, so we had no choice but to look for another hotel. As a family of five, we had a hard time finding a hotel that met our requirements, but we discovered this hotel by chance. On the day of the trip. We were surprised when we entered the room! The interior was very beautiful, and the view from the window was also wonderful. Above all, it was a very convenient location for sightseeing, as it was close to major spots such as the Otaru Canal and Sakaimachi Street. The next morning, we got up a little early and took a morning walk around the canal with my wife. There was also a large public bath on the upper floors, which was a nice point as we could slowly refresh our bodies after a day of walking around Otaru. The breakfast was also very delicious, and the children had a great appetite from the morning! We found this hotel by chance, but we were very satisfied! We will definitely use this hotel the next time we go to Otaru.

Room Tip: 駐車場は満車になると違う場所になるようです。我が家は早めにチェックインだけしたのでホテル内に駐車できました。 早めに到着して車をとめて、ホテルを起点に散策をスタートするといいと思います。

Premium twin room on the top floor. Great space, air conditioning, and comfortable without the dryness that is typical of hotels. The large public bath is also on the same floor, which is very convenient. Security is separated by a card key, so it's reassuring. The hallway on the guest room side is also heated, so it's comfortable.
There are a lot of foreigners, and the morals in the bath? (They don't close the door, they jump into the bathtub without washing themselves, they leave the washbasin in the washing area, they leave the chair there...I often see this even among Japanese people. They talk loudly and for a long time.) This is the reason I took off one star.
The breakfast had a wide variety of options, and I was full from the morning...I had to cancel my lunch plans that day.

Hi, we don't drive. Parking lot is exactly beside the hotel. To me it's look like limited parking lots. Post a question to the hotel about your intention to park your car at the hotel and check with them whether it is chargeable. Have a blessed trip.
