We chose the Mercure Hotel Narita for the location. It is very close to the 2 main train stations in Narita. It is an easy walk to NaritaSan the temple. It is easy to access many restaurants. The location is this hotel's best feature. It...More
Noisy rooms. Airco fills the room with an unmistakable smell of old sigaret smoke, the trains and railway crossings are clearly heard. Looks far too old and needs total renovation (or better yet: demolishment). What a pity that we prebooked a room here ...
We had two night stop over in Japan and stayed at Mercure Narita. It's more like a motel than hotel. Our room was clean but smelled smoke, it was supposed to be non-smoking room. Hotel is right by the two railway stations, handy if you...More
Landing at Narita Airport at around 7pm, this hotel was an easier and cheaper option than going to a Tokyo hotel. There are two train lines that go from the airport to Narita. Either line is in close proximity (<5 mins walk) to the hotel....More
Honestly we could not hear any trains. We were in the annex which is essentially just an extension of the hotel. No difference. 2 short hallways. Seriously not far. Room was fresh and crispy clean. Good aircon. Comfy beds. Easy access on Keisei train line....More

You can contact the hotel before you travel for the schedule or upon arrival if you go to the Visitor Information desk in the Arrivals terminal, they also have the schedule. The bus is very easy to find outside the airport terminal, you will have no problem finding it, they will also tell you at the Visitor information desk where to meet the bus. It will definitely be on time so be there a few minutes before the time it is due to leave. I believe the bus runs every 1.5 - 2 hours from the airport to the hotel. It is not customary to tip in Japan so I would say no to the tip. I would highly recommend purchasing a JR Rail Pass before you travel to Japan. Enjoy all that Japan has to offer - it is truly incredible.
