This hotel is small and not barrier-free. However it has a very nice atmosphere which makes you think you were in Edo-Era. The restaurant offers a wonderful cuisine (japanese). The Onsen is not very big but since there are not so many guests due to the hotel size, it was no problem for me.

Their food is quite good, onsen is also ok, the room with clean and comfortable, but have to walk around 10 minutes from the nearest bus stop and without any signboard, overall i satisfied with their services. I will recommend to my friends.

sorry I can't find any good points of this hotel. I was really disappointed to that I have chosen this hotel. first, the room was very dirty. i can't think it was cleaned. especially bathroom was disgusted. It is the worst room in I have stayed in my life. the dinner and breakfast were just normal. but the dine place...

I've been to so many others onsens and ryokans before and I can tell you with my experiences about comparing this place. I will start with the positives points: - Both dinner and breakfast were decent, it was a Japanese traditional meals. - Reasonable hot spring (onsen), I have seen better onsens for cheaper prices Now the negatives: - It...

This is the second time we stayed at this ryokan. First time was July 2013. Why did we return? Simple. When you compare the ryokans in the area, this one wins hands down if you look at the price, experience, and food. Their food is quite good. Their onsen is also OK - on the small side, but there are...

The Hatago Ichinoyu inn is located in a remote little village, about 30 minutes bus ride from Hakone-yumoto station/ 10 minutes bus ride from Tougendai (departure point of the cable car to Gora/ boat tours on Lake Ashinoko). The bus stop itself is roughly five minutes walk from the inn. It is wonderfully quiet; there are a couple of restaurants...

The hotel is close to a couple of tourist spots such as the Botanical Garden and the Little Prince Museum . It is close to a bus stop of the “T” line bus but it is suggested that you do some homework on how to locate the hotel before going there. The hotel website has detailed direction. The hotel is...

It's far, but we went to Hakone to enjoy peace and serenity, so being far was good! Less people and this Ryokan has only got 8-10 rooms, which also makes the onsen and hot spring less crowded (in our case, we always had it on our own). The private use of onsen after 11pm also is great so you can...

I stayed two nights with my partner. It is a very traditional ryokan, exactly how you would picture a traditional Japanese inn. The room had an amazing footwarmer table which is basically a table with a duvet coming out of it and a pit underneath for your feet which is heated from below! There were big pots of two different...

The hotel is amazing and the location is great. The room we had was lovely. The service was superb, attention to every detail in every way. To be fair, they are a little slow but.. we were not running anywhere, and the leisurely service was actually helpful in that it got us to relax even more.
