We arrived at this hotel, and received a very nice welcome. We had paid the premium for a Japanese style room, and upon entering it, all that could be found was a floor of Tatami mats and a small table with chairs on the floor. We were so surprised! We then realised that at this type of Japanese-style room, you... More

Everyone was telling me how I must stay in a ryokan. But I had a budget. This hotel is not a ryokan but it's every bit as Japanese as it can get. For the nice polite staff to the dinner every night. I stayed 3 nights. The room is reasonably sized. I had the western beds with ensuite bathroom. Never really... More

地點,因跟GPS行了遠路,難評論地點方便性;I just miss led by the GPS to drive in a longer route, so I have no ideas about whether the location is convenience or not. 溫泉一般,無甚麼驚喜 The hot spring is just similar as other hotel in the same area 早、晚餐不俗,份量亦足夠The food is good

We got a western room with private bath and toilet. However since we used the onsen, we didnt get to use the shower/bath anymore. Wish we tried the Japanese room instead. The onsen is very nice and well equipped. The bed was comfortable but our room was hot. We tried to lower the temp several times but it remained hot... More

Although the common toilet was quite inconvenient, overall it was very good. Food, room size, location, cleanliness and service. I recommend the place for its close proximity to the pirate ship and the ropeway.

Was warned this hotel was old and just okay by a tour director - however we were pleasantly surprised. Room was spacious with a great view over the lake. A nice quiet and peaceful town. Hiking trail directly across from the hotel and a gorgeous park just up the road (literally) from the hotel made this a most enjoyable stay.... More

Bus stop and the boat jetty are nearby, only walking distance. Hotel is quiet and comfortable with indoor hot-spring onsen. Great views of the fantastic countryside and Lake Ashi. It is wise to book the hotel with full board or at least half-board meals because there is nothing to have your dinner or breakfast nearby. The hotel offers a great... More

My two friends and I went to the The Lake Hotel to use their Onsen. It is is nice Onsen with 2 large natural pools, 1 inside and 1 outside. There is also 2 tea cup pools and a sauna. The pools are wonderful and the grounds beautiful. It was 1200 yen to use the Onsen which is a decent... More

The hotel itself and the rooms are all very modern and clean. The location is good for the Ropeway and taking the boats across the lake. We stayed 2 nights, but really 1 night is enough as this place is overpriced for sure (200 Euro p/night - high season). The Japanse meals are Ok but compared to more authentic Ryokans... More
