This place was wonderful. Not too difficult to get to from Hakone-Yumoto station. It was a direct bus then a 1-2min walk up a slight slope. One thing to note, the buses weren't as punctual or as reliable as the trains. We arrived before our check-in time and left our luggage to go sight-seeing. Our luggage was already in our...

We stayed 2 nights at Ichinoyo Royokan... It exceeded all our expectations in quality, friendliness, cleanness, food quality and price... I strongly recommend this little gem to all travellers. Extremely good breakfast and dinner served at the premisses. In addition to communal baths, there is a private one that can be booked free of charge... Our room was facing towards...

We traveled by bus from Odawara Station. Though it was a long trip from Tokyo, it is easy to look for directions. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel. We stayed in two rooms, one each night, because it was fully booked. I found that Building B, which is supposed to be more expensive, is not...

The hotel is cozy and an experience of japanese Living with sleeping On the floor, no chairs and the onsen in the room is amazing. Showering outside is Fun but a little cold and a dip in the onsen afterworth helps a lot! When we were there, the volcanic activity was High, so some of the activities in the area...

Stayed a night here with 2 others and would highly recommend for those who are looking for a ryokan experience that won't burn a hole in the pocket. For the price we paid, I was pleasantly surprised by the level of service and facilities provided. ROOM - We had the corner Type-A Japanese room (Large size) which was big enough...

Loved the room with it's own private onsen. Being a woman that is slightly larger in Japan can make one feel embarrassed. I have wanted to go to an onsen since we got to Japan 3.5 years ago but have always been afraid to. This was the perfect solution. The food was awesome too.

Stayed here for 2 nights, 4 adults (me, sister, and parents) in one tatami room. Definitely would recommend this place if you're looking for a quiet peaceful place for some good family bonding. One of the most affordable places in Hakone if you're looking for a private in-room onsen bath. The bath is outdoors in the balcony but well-obscured by...

Easy to access both to the hotel and the sight seeing view points by public transport, room is clean, quiet and comfortable Japanese style. Quality Japanese dinner and breakfast. I would recommend it to who is looking for traditional Japanese accommodation which is value for money.

I stayed in the Annex rooms with private in-room open air onsen. Although it's open air, the view is obscured by wooden blinds, but that is fine. Room is spacious, although it's a pity that the ryokan website photos and description couldn't clearly explain the different between in-room onsen with separate space or in room onsen with living space -...
