Brilliant Ryokan with onsen hot spring baths. Our room had stunning views of Mt. Fuji in the morning. Terrific friendly staff speaking very good English, Dinner and Breakfast included in the rate which were bot traditional Japanese and excellent quality. Room was great with separate seating lounge.

Beautiful spot and great views of Mount Fuji. Unfortunately the rope way was closed for maintenance but can only imagine the views from there. Traditional room sleeping on mats which were surprisingly comfortable for us. The hotel is older style but the service was impeccable. We enjoyed the dinner which was 7 courses and the breakfast which was traditional Japanese...

The location of the property was great as it was away the hustle and bustle of the main Hakone resort area. The staff were warm and attentive. The room we stayed in had a fantastic view of the lake and we thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of the staff. I had forgotten to mention that my mother does not eat beef...

The room had a very nice view of the lake and Mt Fuji. There is a complimentary shuttle service from Odawara Station but you will have to call to ask the timing and make a reservation. Service is very good. Most staff can speak English and some can even speak Mandarin. The internet is available in all areas of the...

This hotel was absolutely incredible to stay at. The highlight of Hakone is, weather permitting, the view of Mt Fuji towering over Lake Ashi. We were privileged to have this view from the large glass window at our lake-side room. Service at the hotel was excellent. We were checked in very efficiently, and shown to our room by the receptionist,...

Incredible ryokan. Spacious with great service and incredible views. The food is also absolutely unbelievable. The only watch out is the hotel has a strict tattoo policy for the in house public bath as well as the outdoor bath that you can use at a discounted rate at the Prince Hotel next door. I was able to hide my shoulder...

We spent a long weekend at RU at the beginning of April. Our experience started with by contacting them via e-mail to arrange arrival details. It turns out that they have a bus that picks up and returns guests to the train station in Odawara, so that couldn’t have been easier. You should arrange this in advance to confirm bus...

We had a typical Japanese style room for 3 with a terrace overlooking the Ashi lake and unforgivable view of Fuji-san. The onset (Japanese hot-spring public bath) was indoors, but for just 900 yens per person we had access to the open air onsen at the Prince hotel (part of the same hotels chain) just 700 meters and 2 minutes...

My family travelled there in July and we had a very nice experience during our 2 nights stay there. The moment we arrived with the free shuttle bus by the door, a very lovely girl (the hotel staff) was welcoming us by the door and helped us with luggages and strollers. It turned out that she is from Taiwan so...
