We loved everything about this guest house. The host was so kind- recommending restaurants and things to do. The Onsen experience, both indoor and outdoor, is superb as was breakfast. The futon beds are super comfy, nicely heated rooms and it’s very quiet.

Sorry this is rather late. I have tattoos and can confirm that there is a private indoor onsen for you to use alone or with a friend. If you want to use the public onsen outside it will depend on who the other guests are... More

If you want to use the public onsen outside it will depend on who the other guests are .... The family who run the guest house are lovely so I'm sure they will advise you. I was on a package tour so cannot comment on the bus etc.
