The Shin Yokohama is a sculptured, urban-style building rising 42 floors above ground. The gentle, cylindrical shape gives it a futuristic appeal. Just 16 minutes from downtown Tokyo, the hotel is connected to the Shin Yokohama Shinkansen Station and the Shopping Plaza Prince Pepe, making it a convenient hub for both business and leisure activities. The area surrounding the hotel is in itself a large amusement complex featuring various sports facilities, including a skating rink, indoor tennis courts and bowling alleys. Also nearby are the landmarks of exotic Yokohama city, Chinatown, the hillside parks and the Yokohama Bay port.

Excellent location for Bullet train. Happy to hold our luggage for a couple of days while we were away until we returned to hotel. Beautiful afternoon tea with a view - could just about see Fuji on this day Taxi from Haneda £60 Disliked · Room very small and bed very hard

the location close to the Shin Yokohama train station and Shinkansen can not be beat. Frequented by airlines as well as fans for the local Yokohama arena events. there is a limited airport bus transport directly from the hotel to Haneda at least once an hour and if needed can walk 5 min to the trainstation depot. Haneda is less than 1 hour away. I paid about 90,000 yen for 4 nights. the view from the rooms which are all part of the spiral towers are lovely for the higher floors. we stayed on the 31 st so had wide panaromic view and could see the bullet trains and tokyo tower. the rooms are simple and clean but small like many hotels in Japan. we did not go to the bar on the top floor due to drinks starting at 1200 yen for a beer, it would have been lovely. the hotel is attached to a mall called Prince Pepe and you can pretty much get anything there including a 100 yen store. I personall;y liked the less chaos compared to the Don Quijote or the Shibuya area malls. Less people.

Stayed here to attend a wrestling show at Yokohama Arena. Genuinely couldn’t have picked a better base for my first time in Japan. Yokohama Arena is three minutes away on foot, and there’s a pedestrian bridge that takes you right there. The train station is also very close with bullet trains going into Tokyo regularly. There’s a shopping mall built into the hotel and a 711 downstairs which has everything you’d need, including a printing service. The hotel itself is stunning. Rooms were spotless and the staff were very friendly and helpful to a very confused and jet lagged newcomer to Japan. Early check in is available for a small fee. The Top Of Yokohama bar was a bit expensive but the view and the service made it well worth it. I’ll definitely stay here again if I return to Japan.

In a last minute trip to Tokyo we decide to spend the night at Yokohama, since the day we were arriving we were going to be around this area. Our check in was around almost midnight (we didn't expect to arrive this late, so we had to call in advance to the hotel so they can keep our reservation ). At night when we arrived, we found a nice cozy room, enough for the purpose... sleep! we check out the view from the window, and for sure we only visualize Landmark tower...and tons of red lights... and so we went to sleep. Im not going to talk about much about the room it was a moderate double room, with amenities, fridge, slippers, etc. It was ok and more than enough to spend the night. The next morning when we opened the curtains..... we just couldnt believe what we had in front of our eyes.... Mount Fuji.... and it was a clear morning (after rain and snow the day before) it was simple a wonderful view, our room was on the top 19th floor, so we do recommend it totally .

Very decent hotel. I spent 12 nights in the hotel and because of excellent breakfast the staying did not come too long. Unfortunately I got smoking room, so I didn't want to spend too much time in the room. View is nice, even the Fuji was visible from the room window on clear days. I can recommend the hotel from my side, also location is excellent, it is really close to Shin-Yokohama station from where you can easily travel by train and subway.

It is a huge hotel (about 38 floors), however it has like 6 lifts so you are never waiting for one. Its linked to a mall and many restaurants. Additionally it is 5 min walking from the Shin Yokohama train station and metro. Rooms where very cleen and service was very good.

Easy check in (although check in machines were roped off). Plenty of elevators. 19th floor double room had nice view of Fuji in the distance. Wi-fi worked well and TV has bilingual CNN channel. Room nice overall with a nice desk and chair beside window. Bathroom had some interesting design quirks! Like a flush button hidden under a metal flip lid. Check out was done by machine which were not roped off in the morning. Couple of minutes walk to the Shinkansen station. ¥12542 for double room.

Good location, clean rooms, great views, good customer service. Restaurants at the top and bottom - all looked delicious. Shops right underneath. Easy and quick check in and check out. Recommended for one night or ten.

There are only a few reasons to be in Shin-Yokohama... Either your business trip makes it convenient, you plan on taking an early/late shinkansen train or in my case its close to my family... This has a great shopping and eating district all nearby but unless you are Japanese, little else... The hotel itself has reasonable sized rooms for Japan that are modern, have good amenities, and with fabulous views when the weather permits regardless of what direction you face...It's in a huge mall, so you will not starve or be bored... It does offer the fastest trip to Tokyo by train (18 minutes) by Shinkansen to Tokyo station from Yokohama... The prices are super reasonable for what you get and where you are (except Saturday- Japanese date night), just don't expect interesting places to visit nearby... In perspective you would spend $200 plus weekdays for an equivalent hotel in most major US cities or Europe...So its a bargain for what you pay for.

We stayed here for one night during a tour on the way from Mt Fuji to Tokyo. It was a lovely hotel - very modern, and thought rooms were small in typical Japanese style, there was great service. Our TV wouldn't turn on and within a minute of calling the front desk a very polite staff member was at our door to help us fix it! The breakfast here was far and away the best we had anywhere on our trip with a great mix of Japanese and western options - anywhere I can have Japanese curry AND raspberry danishes for breakfast is a winner in my books! The location was also fabulous, right in the hustle and bustle of a shopping/dining/entertainment area - lots of choice that's easily walkable.
