We stayed here for two nights and I highly recommend it. The hotel is positioned on the side of a gorge with bright blue melt water running through it. It's huge and has a small army of people who will take care of you when you arrive. For example there were three women in full kimono bowing when we turned...

I only stayed one night and i am so sorry I was unable to extend my stay. I loved this hotel. There are three different areas of hot spring areas, but the rooftop at night can not be beat. Absolutely wonderful. In all, I soaked in 8 different hot springs pools. There was one person at the front desk who...

Apart from the beautiful, renovated rooftop onsen, the hotel is very old, and you can see that... sofas in the common areas look old, rooms look very old. Hotel needs deep renovation. Reception staff is very, very friendly.

Staying Asaya hotel Nikko, Kinugawa Onsen. Restaurants, beautiful building and services were great. Especially, I was so surprised by the Onsen in the rooftop with panorama view of mountains. I've never had such an awesome experience before. 鬼怒川温泉ではあさやホテルに宿泊。レストラン、美しい建物、サービス共に素晴らしかったですが、特に、山々のパノラマビューが楽しめる屋上露天風呂が最高でした。

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights, it was not enough. Asaya is a place where you go to relax and recuperate from life by soaking in very hot water, eating delicious food, and soaking up the atmosphere. The hotel has a magnificent central lobby that is richly decorated - though things appear to be from decades ago,...

You are here for the Japnese bath and that's it. As the hotel is a bit remote that you need a car or taxi to get to anywhere that is interesting. The room was not comfortable to relax in either. They do have several large bath facilities on different floors. The rooftop one is very good for gazing at the...

This hotel is absolutely exceptional. The hot spring on the roof terrace which faces the mountains while you soak in the hot deep relaxing water is just out of this world. It is stunning! Very high standard of customer care and the hotel is absolutely spotless! I can't even praise this hotel enough as my stay was just so relaxing...

The trip to Nikko was a disaster from start to finish, topped off with the hotel double charging us; and when we complained, there was no one there that spoke or could read sufficient English to either help or understand. When we booked, there were no directions as to what train to catch, so when we asked at the JR...

We chose this hotel because of it's closeness to Edo Wonderland which about a 10 minute drive away. We stayed for one night and were allocated Room 502. We were a family of four. The room was spacious which a separate bedroom containing two single, comfortable beds. The other two members of the family slept in the lounge on futons...

my daughter and I stayed at this hotel in March. Hotel has 3 different public bath areas, one on the roof and two on the lower levels. All three of them were nice but not big like the hot springs in Hokkaido. I prefer the open air hot spring up on the roof. i must mention the buffet in this...
