The bedroom was a good size but no shower so I used the communal bath area. the bed was comfortable and it was nice and quiet. The breakfast was good value and logs of it, continental or Japanese. Tea/ coffee in the room and also available in the foyer. The staff were really good with the children, there were lots...

Very friendly and welcoming staff who understood that we didn't always know the correct way to behave in such a situation...slippers, food etc.... very comfortable rooms and a huge range of food served in the individual dining room so you will always find something you like. All beautifully presented.

For those who want to experience authentic Japanese ryokan, this is the place! It has good room with a living area and garden view. It has wonderful big onsen (real hot spring, not just hot water). Japanese breakfast is delicious and wide spread. Just take note, there is no shower facility in the room (toilet yes). You need to go...

Awful! We had a friendly welcome at reception and there was a lovely man who drove us into town and collected us a few times. However, the place itself is dated, dirty, smelly and in need of complete refurbishment.

The hotel has a good location and a very willing driver team who will pick you up and drop you off in Nikko for restaurants. The staff here are very good BUT the hotel is not very nice and needs a complete refurbishment. The communal spaces (apart from foyer) have a lot of staining due to water incursion and there...

Nice staff but the hotel desperately needs some work. Has probably looked the same since the 80's... The food was also of pretty poor quality. It us also located a little bit of the shrine - a 20 minutes walk where you will walk a lot at the shrine and temple.

Visitors to japan should experience a ryokan and this ryokan was excellent. We had a room for three and it was spacious with tea, low table and chairs, armchairs and toilet. A lovely view over the green park. We opted for half board and the Japanese breakfast and dinner were incredible and served on western tables. Free tea and coffee...

After spending a lot of time in Japan on business, I decided I really should visit Nikko. I found this Ryokan on booking.com at a very reasonable price so decided to give it try. I really liked it here - the staff are incredibly friendly and amenable.that I did not use the bus pass i had bought, as the Ryokan...

enjoyed it. the spa ...aaka onsen was free and we were the only ones. rooms are very nice. toilet in the room .... clean. A little fsr from the center but this means more quiet. be careful to get a car to drive you there unless you want to walk 2km.

Thank Origof
