Tsukihitei is a traditional Japanese ryokan nestled deep on the slope of Kasugayama Primeval Forest. It is the right place If you look for somewhere quite and refreshing.
The place is well managed.
The service was excellent as you may expect from a traditional ryokan.
There are only three suites.
There are two public bathrooms which you use privately. Highly recommend to try them.
Marina speaks very good English.

This is a truly magical place. A traditional ryokan settled in a world heritage listed forrest with no one for neighbors except the trees. It is a 5 minute walk outside the eastern boundary of Nara Park but accessible by a short taxi ride from either of Nara's railway stations. The staff are friendly and some have excellent english although others have just enough to get by. The food was the best we had in Japan with the usual traditional Japanese for dinner and the choice of Japanese or Western for breakfast. We chose the former. We walked down to Nara Park and the major sights but enjoyed the hot tubs and just sitting. My advice - do it at the end of your trip when you just want to chill. More
