We had to book a hotel room in Nara at the last minute for a weeks stay and the Hotel Nikko was available for a triple room at a good price. The hotel is in a great location right next to the JR station, basically it's connected so transport is not a problem and there is a bus terminal at...

Visiting Nara in sakura season we expected crowds, as well as many cherry trees. We got both! The breakfast restaurant was full to bursting even at 7:30 in the morning. We had to sit in line on chairs to wait to have a table assigned. Breakfast was OK with good Japanese selection and naturally fewer Western choices. The room on...

Nice big room, sunshine, good location but not a good check-in service. We do a bag drop at the morning, and get back to hotel around 3PM. Still have to spend around 15 mins for checking-in the room......

The rooms here are almost twice the size of standard Japanese hotel rooms. The hotel is attached to the main JR station so it is a 1 minute walk to the platforms. The hotel has plenty of restaurants and entertainment facilities. No self laundry but there is a self service laundry nearby. Would definitely stay again given the opportunity.

A hotel that is convenient to reach, comfortable to stay and reasonably priced. It is just steps away from the JR train station, connected by a walking bridge from the train station exit. The hotel is good for business travel or for a couple to visit Nara for a stay that is reasonably priced. The breakfast is great, with traditional...

As a longtime (since the early 1960's) traveler/visitor to Japan, the Hotel Nikko Nara is a hotel I would recommend to all visitors ... and one comfortable to the English-speaking first-time visitors interested in the historic city of Nara. It is next to the JR station (a 2-3 minute walk) where you can easily travel to other cities by train....

Hotel Nikko Nara is very conveniently located right next to JR train station (2 min walk), yet you cannot see or hear the train and the hotel is very quiet. The room was very nice, good size, air-conditioned, with free Wi-Fi, and TV (programs are in Japanese). The bed was very comfortable, the bath deep, bath slippers and bathrobe were...

Just beside the JR train station in Nara so it was very handy to just drop off our luggage and then wander into town. It was about a 20 minute walk from the hotel to the five tiered pagoda (kofukuji) and a further 10 minutes to the main temple in Nara Park, Todaiji. Really good location since it is very...

Part of our Japan trip itinerary is to stay overnite in Nara to see the Giant Buddha Statue & Deer Park. Upon arrival, we were delighted that Hotel Nikko Nara is just few steps away from the JR station. Checkin was fast, the room was nice- spacious except their bathroom. Toilet seat is heated! Bed was comfy and we had...
