I stayed in a private room with a private bathroom. The size was just great for one person. What I mainly do in a hostel room is sleeping and it is my main, if not only, quality criterion when I go somewhere. I must say I did not sleep well at Fukuoka Hana hostel... Part of it is because of...

This was an okay hostel. Common area wasnt as big, but all the facilities where there. Staff was really helpfull and kind. Only problem i had was with the beds. As you see so often in Japan the matrasses where very thin.

Well located in a shopping-street in the centre, this hostel offers clean and spacious dorms, decent beds (e-socket and lamp for each) enough bathrooms with good showers, lockers for all, a kitchen and nice common-area to meet other people. Wifi is fast and stable. The staff is super friendly and helpful. If you don't mind walking a bit to and...

Best hostel I have stayed in, everything is spotless, bunks, sheets, toilets, showers, kitchen. staff all very friendly and fluent in English. Kitchen has everything you need, even free coffee and tea! Location is in the middle of fukuoka, public transport is great and close by, but lots of shops (all sorts of shops) right outside the door.

Great hostel right on the river, in the centre of Fukuoka, right next to Canal City. I really liked this hostel, the location is great, the staff are really friendly and the communal area is perfect for travelers. They've got a kitchen with everything you need plus free coffee and tea. The dorm was nice and the bunk beds were...

One of the better hostels we stayed in in Japan. The staff were very warm throughout our three days stay. There's a kitchen ample enough for anybody's needs, although the fridge was chaos! Free tea, coffee, and green tea. Great common area with 2 computers, books in various languages, and more leaflets about the city than you imagined possible. If...

Locates within 10 mins walk from metro station, with many restaurants along the street.Also,5 mins walk from canal city (shopping mall). Need to pay attention on the sign on the wall,it's easily get pass along the street without noticing it(almost the end of the arcade). And very near to the temple. For the hostel, the showroom is small but well equipped with shower...

I loved staying at this hostel. This was my first hostel stay and both room and the washroom was very clean. Room was nicely air conditioned. Space is tight on the floor to store your luggage (especially if the room was full), but it was not a big problem. There was curtain and light for each bed for privacy. Location...

No problems at all with this hostel. Fun, helpful English speaking staff and a lively atmosphere - but you'll still get a full night's sleep. Great location near Fukuoka's stations and local amenities, and the terrace has a superb view. Sadly only misses a fifth star as it lacks that 'pizazz' factor - but few places have it!

A cute place for a budget stay. Located in a great location, right in the shopping alley. The staff is very friendly and nice. If you're travelling with huge/heavy luggage, this may be a pain in the butt since there's only stairs. Overall, personally I think it's still a valued choice.

“I was able to live on under $20 a day, not all the time though, you want to hit up events or visit something where admission is required or you need travel expense...but it is doable. Cheap foodstuff right outside hostel...saba, squash, tempura for $5? Explore a little and hit up local convenience store-you can find beer for 88 cents! Hotto Motto-franchise type fast food place you can get a bento for $4-5 cheap if I recall correctly. JR pass for 7000yen lets you explore N. Kyushu area unlimited train use for 3 days. My time was limited so I only got to visit Nagasaki and not enough time to go onsen hopping at Beppu and Oita as I had badly planned...next time!”
