The hotel is about a 7 minute walk from the station and is quite easy to find. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Although a little bit dated the room was of a decent size and clean and tidy. A good range of food was provided for breakfast although the western options were a bit limited. All in... More

A simple, straightforward but comfortable hotel close to the railway station. No frills but a decent room and a good breakfast. The hotel is also good at withstanding earthquakes. We were on the 9th floor and a magnitude 7 quake occurred 138km off the coast. The hotel swayed a bit but no problem!

Next to the central station, the hotel is two minutes away from the five restaurants and shopping center while offers a little serenity for it's right beside a pretty little stream. Not really cheap in price, the rooms are pretty standard (small that is XD), but the location is just great!

This hotel is just at the middle of everything. To the left of the hotel, just five minutes from the main Kagoshima station where JR Shinkanshen(bullet train) Kyushu southern line end terminal, local and area trains and metro, bus terninal, taxi, and also a multistory mall with an Observation Wheel on top of the mall where you can overlook the... As soon as you entered the lobby, one would feel the ventilation was not right. We went up to our floor and smelled smoking as soon as we stepped out from the lift. We then went into our room and the smell was even stronger. The window was locked for safety reason so we could not get fresh air in... More

I stayed 2 nights then I came back for 1 night. The hotel is very conveniently situated at the center of the town, very close to bus stops, JR station, large shopping center, restaurants and a food alley which offers many choices of authentic Japanese food at very inexpensive price. The room that I was originally assigned had a very... More

I went on a last minute impromptu trip from Korea to Kagoshima and this was the only available hotel during the last week of December, 2013. The exterior is uninspiring so I didn't expect much, but I was very pleasantly surprised. We had a 4th floor room facing the river with two twin beds. Room was a good size for... More

Excellent location, situated next to Daiei Supermarket, and connected by an underpass to a shopping centre from across the road, with food-court, another supermarket, Muji-brand Japanese clothing and lifestyle-living concept store, with Uniglo parallel to it. when one emerges from the left of the hotel lobby, walked pass a narrow street, and one would not miss the bustling crowd of... Excellent location, a few minutes from the train station with lots of dining choices nearby. Modern hotel with tiny rooms. Room was musty smelling and very hot, and the windows do not open for ventilation. Nice view along the river though . Good bathroom with an excellent shower. Minimal English TV programs Excellent Japanese buffet breakfast, poor selection of western... More

This less-than-average Japanese business hotel near the train station should not be confused with the Tokyu Hotel, also reviewed on this site. This hotel has tiny rooms, unfriendly staff, does not offer free breakfast or even free coffee, and costs double the price of comparable - or better - Japanese business hotels. The internet worked only sporadically the two nights... More
