Ok hotel overall. I'm not super tall, but I shouldn't have to duck to get in the shower. This hotel is outdated. Tired. Location is nice. Lots of Americans stay here b/c it is so close to the base. In walking distance of lots.

My husband and I spent several nights in this hotel last week. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Check-in and check-out were extremely quick and the staff is efficient. We did not have the breakfast, but it looked very good and plentiful. The service was excellent when we needed anything they responded within a few minutes. The location is...

Going on a Tiger Cruise out of the base the next day, without any big brand name international hotels, wasn't sure where to stay but the location looked workable and the pictures nice. Not sure about the hotels who got a ranking higher than this, but this hotel was really really nice. Not high end, but very solid in the...

The quintessa hotel in Sasebo is a real gem for those traveling to Sasebo. It's in an ideal location to downtown Sasebo. It's walking distance from the arcade, Sailortown and Saketown. The rooms were comfortable and there are Asahi/Kirin vending machines on the second floor! This hotel needs an ATM. Overall, I had a great stay at the quintessa hotel!

You could do a lot worse. This hotel was recommended to me and it lived up to its billing. As a former Holiday Inn, the room size reflects Western sensibilities. At that, it was only average sized, but (I'm told) far larger than rooms at other properties in the area. Everything was clean and well cared for. I opted for...

This hotel has nice sized rooms, and it's close to the US Navy base. Also close to the shopping district. Front desk staff is friendly. Shooter's bar across the street is a good place to stop after work. Overall, I'll be staying here every time I come to Sasebo!!

Just above budget , this centrally located hotel has all you will need for a few day stay. No it's not glamorous , but it's near the Ginza shopping, and also ( for military families ) near the Navy Base. Pillows are not good, but it's clean, quiet, and (,except for the pillows) comfortable. We had trouble with the wi...

I stayed at the Chisun Grand for a work trip. Great location at the end of the Ginza, very close to Sasebo Naval Base, a quick walk to great restaurants. Good wifi for free, great room amenities (fridge in the room for Chu His, most important!) Very spacious room, comfortable beds, even for my non-Japanese back. The staff is very...
