Was in Kochi looking for a hotel the night before. One thing I would like to highlight is hotels in Japan do not need credit card for booking. Just a phone call and surname will do ! I suspect thats why rooms are overbook everywhere. This is a pleasant 4 star hotel, and I was charge about 20,000yen for bed...

Very good hotel with excellent service. Staff are polite and speak good English. Room is spacious by Japanese standard. Breakfast on top floor overlooking the city is gorgeous. Room is a bit tired but acceptable. Major drawback is location. It is 20-30 minutes walk from centre and virtually nothing around the hotel. Convenient store is about 5-7 minutes away. But...

This is really a top class hotel, when you walk in to check-in you can feel and sense a stylish establishment, the spa/onsen has the best amenities I've seen in Japan from full length lockers to all manner and kinds of hair and facial treatments. The rooms are very neat, tidy and extremely comfortable. The staff are very polite, courteous...

Stayed for three nights here in March 2016. A bit dated rooms, but much larger than average Japanese hotels. Absolutely clean. Breakfast: Both western and Japanese, would loved some more variation of bread. Nice sauna. Free WIFI works well. Recommended.

Clean and good-sized room by Japanese standards. We had one overlooking the river. At first it seems a bit remote, but it is only a short 10-minute walk to a good restaurant/entertainment ares. The baths were nice but a bit smaller than I expected for a hotel of this size. You get a near panoramic view of the city from...

We've stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Very good service, breakfast (japanese and western) with a lot of choices. Dinner is fantastic; we liked their japanese dinner most. If you are in Kochi and you want to have a good dinner on a superb place, go over there!

The Hotel Nikko Kochi/Asahi Royal at one time was the place to stay in Kochi. It is little far from the city center.. The staff remains excellent, the rooms are good size, but they are a little tired. Breakfast was good. Still the hotel was comfortable. Overall I hope they do a renovation in the near future!

Was there in business. You cannot beat the view from the restauran on the 22nd floor. Rooms are modern and the lobby is spotless. For fun, take a cab and go near the Kochi castle. There are a lot of stores in a walking mall near the castle. Take a fork with you if you want to eat in the...

Nice average hotel, good service, excellent room though getting old. It was so bland we battled to get anyone to remember specifics but the one thing we remember was the view excellent, the food as it was a holiday was buffet with eat and drink as much as you want and the quality was good. Breakfast was again average. English...

Spent one night recently on vacation during our tour of Shikoku. Rooms are decent sized and furnished. Breakfast on the 22nd floor offers a great view for the city and its surrounding. The hotel is close enough to the street cars of Kochi which can take you to the famous Hirome market within about 15 mins. Surely would stay at...
