Flying into the Amboseli area seeing Kilimanjaro above the clouds what a feeling... Gamewatcher guides meeting us and bringing us to camp with a fantastic game drive through the conservancy.. Elephants galore... the right way to see ivory... such a great place... the driver and guides with the most amazing eyesight were fantastic looking after us so well... On our...

What a wonderful time we had - the animals were super fantastic to see in their natural habitat - seeing cheetahs, lions, elephants, numerous types of gazelle/antelope, hyena, zebra, warthogs, hippos, giraffes (my favorite now) and so much more - they are all so very beautiful. But the guide, Richard and our driver, Maleta really made it all very special...

The Porini camps rank with the best safari experiences we’ve had after having been on safari in many African countries. You combine a great experience with the knowledge that you’re supporting the conservancy concept, which increases the area of wildlife reserves and benefits the local Maasai so they have an incentive to protect the wildlife. You also get an experience...

Amboseli camp was our first introduction to Africa and certainly did not disappoint. Within 30 mins of landing we saw giraffe, zebra, wildebeest (with calves), gazelle, warthog and then an elusive cheetah! Our experiences continued with lion, elephant & many bird and smaller mammals. The day trip to Amboseli National Park was great and gave us a different safari experience-...

The Maasai community involvement in Porini Camps means that they have a very special feeling. Many staff have been there for years - it is wonderful to return time after time and see how it has grown in facilities for the animals, rather than the humans! Three water holes in the conservancy now bring elephants and all the other game...

Porini Amboseli Camp was a delight. The Manager and the Masai Staff went the extra mile to ensure that our holiday was extra special. The camp is without fences so animals can be heard nearby during the night. Tents (en suite) are well equipped and comfortable - you are given a whistle and torch and told not to leave it...

Our first impression of Amboseli Camp was the people - they were wonderful. So helpful and friendly, and the food was great. We wish we'd had another day and you should certainly aim for at least 3 nights. There is so much to see and the knowledge all the guides/spotters have is exceptional. We saw more that we expected and...

I'd been visiting Kenya on safari between 1979 and 1995 -over 20 times! But then had a gap until December 2016 when I wanted to show my 'new' husband the wonder of wildlife, truly 'in the wild' and celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary. This is a review of Porini generally. I hadn't visited Porini camps before- they hadn't been set...

Spent 3 days here, 2 in the conservancy and the third in the Amboseli reserve. Amazing place. The wetlands are astounding with hundreds of elephants and hippos wallowing. Abundant bird life abounds. Of course all th other suspects are there, giraffe , buffalo baboon , wildebeest etc etc. Of course the camp was wonderful with great accommodation, superb staff and...

From the time Dennis and Katou met us at the airstrip until they waved us goodbye 3 days later, we could not have hoped for a more relaxed and welcoming start to our Kenyan Safari. Porini Amboseli Camp was quiet during our stay so we had the luxury of a vehicle all to ourselves, as well as the undivided attention...
