Samburu Intrepids is a great place to stay. The staff is very friendly, especially Alexander who kept the monkeys away from the dining room and Cleo who was my server in the dining room. The meals were all fantastic. It was not at all busy when I was there, only 2-3 other parties so it felt like I had the...

Want a family feeling, a great atmosphere! Do you want great quality! Great pool! The view on the river is perfect! Open spaces. However I would say that it's location is not the best. Yet this comes with advantages as you are in a quiet and pristine environment without noise interference. Beats most of its competition.

Samburu on my second visit proved as fantastic as on the first although the season was different and due to drought there was less wildlife. In many safaris over the last three years I have not seen as many leopards so easily as in Samburu (three in a day on my fist visit and two in a day on my...

6 of us spent 2 nights at this "Luxury Tented Camp". This was out first stop (of 13 different accommodations) and was by far the BEST! The staff are all amazing, our 'tent' was perfect, although you had to make sure to secure your tent zipper, as the monkeys will take advantage of your belongings if you don't! Food was...

This was a last minute decision to visit Samburu. Never thought there was a sweet spot in this vast wilderness.. although we got lost for a while thanks to lack of sufficient camp signs on the route we took, we quickly forgot about this misfortune after arriving to the camp. Neat, secluded and pristine nature couples this camp into a...

I will not beat around the bush with this review. The Intrepids Lodge coupled with the game park was easily the best experience that we had on our two week safari trip to Kenya. You cannot fault it. Great tented accommodation next to the river, good food, great pool, helpful staff, especially James who gave interesting lectures every night on...

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at this lovely safari camp. We were a family party of 17 of varied ages from the UK and nothing was too much trouble. Despite the fact that you don't see the quantity of game for example in the Masai Mara what we did see was utterly captivating and exciting. There...

Driving true the gates of the park we felt we were in the Jungle! Our first encounter was with a heard of elephants crossing the road...Then antilopes of all sizes, birds, etc.. We were excited . Our stay in the park was a fantastic experience as we saw so many animals. WE even saw a leopard high in a tree,...

We were looking for a holiday destination that balanced luxury and camping..not too much roughing it in the woods-what with young children, but a place that would gradually introduce them to the wilderness. Samburu Intrepids offered the perfect balance. Lots to do for the whole family, with an Adventurers' club for kids- where they do beadwork, archery, go bird spotting...

Samburu Intrepids provides a truly "Out of Africa" experience. We found the location, the staff and the food to exceed our expectations on every level. The tents were rustic and luxurious at the same time. Finding hot water bottles in our bed at turn down and receiving our morning coffee and cookies with our "wake up call" made this stay...
