The staffs failed to ensure communication chain is intact - e.g. I requested room make up service and I was given the option to choose if I would like to have it done now or at specific timing (a nice gesture). I would like to have it done now since I was heading to the gym, so 2 hours later my room remained the same and was not being cleaned at all, over promise and under deliver is not a positive hospitality experience.

Far frm JB sentral. Time to travel wasted if travelling here and if u have to move ard in JB kia. Room new and clean. Hotel Still look refreshing.
But front service need chg policy. If high occupancy, U give late checkout to so many cheapo spore, then people come in at 4pm cannot check in because housekeeping cannot clean fast enough. The official check in is 3pm.
Spore cheapos don't give them face. This is Malaysia, they talk big but if you say no they also lan lan because this is malaysia, and they must be taught a lesson to behave in people country. Spore cheapos Pay so little, expect freebies. Tell them checkout on time and go home and don't make JB crowded.

I have stayed at all the Hyatt properties across Malaysia (KL, Kuantan, KK) and given that this is the latest one, I decided to check it out.
The hotel location is very convenient, being right at Paradigm Mall with an indoor connection to the Mall.
There is one set of elevators which connects guests from the Mall/Entrance to both the Front Desk on the 7th Floor and Guest Rooms on Floors 9th to 20th.
Room was typical Hyatt Place design and in great condition. There was also welcome fruits and snacks in recognition of my Globalist status - one that a Hyatt Place does not need to do but grateful they did.
Breakfast was sufficient with made to order eggs, roti canai and nasi lemak. I was pleasantly surprised to see an orange juice machine where guests can put fresh oranges in to make their own juice.
They also provide Lavazza Coffee for breakfast which is great and above what a Hyatt Place needs to offer.
General Manager Sean could be seen constantly around to make sure everything is in order.
Overall it was a great stay and I hope to return some time soon.
Note that this Hotel brands itself a select service property hence guests need to pick up their own amenities (e.g., water, shaver, slippers etc) from the front desk on 7th floor.

Overall a pleasant stay. However improvement is required - water pressure for shower is very low. Very hard to wash hair. Other than the regular bath/shampoo/conditioner, only toothbrush is provided. No shower cap/facial cotton pad/cotton bud.
Breakfast menu items repeated over 2 days. No rotation. Also surprised with the soya sauce soup based for noodles - seriously soya sauce with water.

A unique and worthwile experience for us as we haven't had any staycation for few months and truly glad we chose this place! The room is really spacious and modern compared to other hotel in Johor Bahru. When we arrive, we were being welcomed by Aiman at front desk. Quite impressed by his warm and friendly demeanor, created an inviting atmosphere when checking us in. I asked a lot of things from him as we're not well aware with this location and he managed to answer us, even suggested few places that we truly liked. His ability to anticipate my needs and provide personalized services made me feel important! Oh not to mention, the breakfast staff Ain is very attentive! She saw that im done with my plate and clear it straight away ( i mean maybe she kinda noticed that i wanna get a lot of refills hahaha ). The breakfast was delicious just lack of variety, would be perfect if there is few more choices for breakfast. Truly satisfied with the stay and will be coming back whenever i thought of going for staycation in Johore Bahru

There's no housekeeping service if you need anything, need to do to the lobby and collect yourself. Room cleanness is basic, can hear the sounds from room beside or people pass by. For the price, there's not up to the basic standard, lots of alternative that provide much better room and services.

Recommended!! But hotel needs to use a better detergent scent on the mattress cover n pillow cases when washing them. Dry them properly to avoid the stale smell. Other than that, the room is pretty clean.

The room was very clean and the staffs' attitude was superb. They were polite and very helpful in all situation which is rare to find in the hospitality sector. it was also very reasonable price for a location that is so convenient for family with young kids

Short holiday stay with young children. Booked 2 rooms with connecting room. For connecting rooms available booked both pool view types as recommended through live chat enquiry. Check in experience was poor. Staff was unsure and provided different informations. Offered a cheaper connected rooms with the price of pool view rooms. Though payment has not been made, I was not allowed to "down grade" and must pay the higher price even I choose the cheaper room. Service was poor.

There is enough space in the room for an extra bed, but maybe a tight fit - may need to move the sofa and coffee table to put in the extra bed.
The sofa is able to sleep 1 adult comfortably, unless the extra bed is really necessary.
Please check with receptionist during check in.
The hotel staff will do that for you. The sofa bed fit for my 23 yr old son. It shd be able to fit 2 kids.
The hotel is built on top of Paradigm Shopping Mall. You will need to head to the hotel entrance (Near Sketchers store) and take a lift to the 7th floor, where the hotel reception is located.
You can self-park on the 6th floor of the mall with direct access to the hotel lift. It costs RM6 per entry.
There is no bathtub in all the rooms at this hotel. Only standing shower is provided in the bathroom.
