Detailed Reviews
Located less than 15mins from Johor Bahru city centre. Hotel is located within a duty free zone in Stulang Laut. Its anhuge building and lots of rooms. Booked a standard room with large bed.
Room facility is good with bath tub, wardrobe, some of toiletries kit, a safe box and cable television. Unfortunately the condition of room looks old and its about time to change or refurbished.
Bed is towards its end of life span, wall paint peeling off, carpet looks dirty, curtain certainly need a fresh one, toilet facility is also required to be renewed.
Its within a duty free zone and expect some noises after closing hours. Lots of pub and clubs surrounding the hotel.
Will consider tonstay again if they refurbished thebrooms and facilities.

Arrived a little late at night but they have 24hrs concierge so it is not a problem.
If you are driving the hotel allows you to park your vehicle near the lobby while you do your checking in. Valet parking is available in RM20, RM50 and RM100. The difference between the price is the proximity, the highest price the nearer the lot is to the hotel. They do have free parking for the public with Touch N Go card. You can check with the reception. If you dont have a TnG card the hotel do provide it on a complementary basis but if you loose the card you will need to pay some charges.
There are many restaurants around the hotel within walking distance so there are wide selection on food.
The room is spacious and i had a view on the city and i can see part of the waterfront too and that is nice. The usb charge port in the room was not working and that is very disappointing considering i didnt bring along my charger.
It was just a night stay and overall i am happy with everything.

I’d stayed here years ago with family. Decided to stay here on 29 Oct for an overnight stay with friends. Found cockroach and ants in the room, serious water leakage problem, water stained carpet and the most paint scratched bathtub I’ve ever seen. The hotel looks in serious need of refurbishment!
Asked the front desk if guests staying at hotel in the duty free zone can buy duty free alcohol and what’s the allowance? The front desk staff replied 1 guest can buy 1 bottle alcohol. I decided to buy 2 bottles and will make declaration to pay duty for my extra bottle. Upon declaration at Customs, I was told I’ve to pay duty for both alcohol bottles as I don’t qualify for duty free privilege and that I should have checked with customs and not the hotel front desk abt duty free alcohol allowance? Wasn’t my question an FAQ at your hotel? You should provide better training to staff to ensure guests staying at your hotel are properly informed so they know what duty free privileges apply within your establishment in the duty free zone.
I didn’t scold your staff but saw staff morale was very low, your staff was fed up with some of the rude behaviour they got from guests there. The only plus side was the nice sea view and close proximity to JB city.

We booked 2 connecting rooms for 16th July night. The air-conds in both rooms were not functioning. The technicians were unable to repair and kept insisting nothing is wrong, despite knowing well how heated the rooms were!
We gave up and requested to change our rooms. The staff had the audacity to say that they were fully booked, which we knew was not true because there were hardly few guests around. Even the technicians mentioned that they have such low bookings that the management is not looking into upgrading the facilities.
Breakfast was pathetic for RM25/pax, only 3-4 items at buffet table.
Staff at the reception counter were very rude.
Overall, its our worse hotel stay ever experienced!
This hotel is a definite no for us in the future.

I stayed at this property for a night in room 1354. I'd say the stay was a 6 out of 10. I was happy as well as disappointed at the same time. Jeewita ensure my smooth check in and gave me a room of my preference. Saiful was kind to help me with my requests. Mazharul ensured my breakfast experience was smooth at Salt and Pepper restaurant. Thanks to these staff members for their service. I was a bit disappointed when I requested for extra water bottles and shower gel and was told that they are chargeable. All the hotels give these amenities and room supplies complimentary as they are a basic need of any person. To my surprise I was told that if I extend my stay then these things will be refilled for me during the service of the room. If I request for more on the same day then it'll be chargeable. So I paid for the water bottles and denied for the shower gel. The telephone in the room was also not working so I had to go to reception every time I had a request or wanted to enquire about anything. The television in the room is still old school and only local channels are available on that. Other than that everything was good. The staff is polite and even helped me with a late checkout and an early check in. Grateful for everything.

Value for money accomodation. Clean and comfortable room yet affordable. Quite close to city centre and convenient location with adjoining shopping centre and clubbing fun just a few steps away from the hotel lobby. Suitable for family, the young and silver travellers. Service is good with warm and helpful hotel staff. On a side note, a fresh injection of modern decors and furniture's would enhanced the hotel's standing and popularity.

Is quite some time ago since my last stay, yet this place is still the same with no improvement. The room and bathroom with old facilities and cleanliness are pretty poor. The check-in takes a long time, as there is only one receptionist working and she looks pretty frustrated. The only good thing is there is a nice sea view and there are lots of clubs and restaurants in this place for party-goers. Overall, good to stay a day or two if there is a special room rate promotion.

I got a room with a vinyl floor, which is fantastic because I hate carpet. Check-in was quick. The staffs are kind and smiling.
The room is tidy and neat. I adore the scent of shower gel with lemongrass. My room's air conditioner wasn't cold. I had a horrible breakfast. Even at 8:30 am, food tray are emptied and replenishing every dish took some time. Sadly, the food remains cold even after replenishing.
I admit that the hotel is outdated and needs renovations, but it's still fine in comparison to other hotels where I've been.
Will i stay here again? Yes!

Hello there, unfortunately I did not pay attention on this area. But as far as I have roamed around, I did not come across any playground for kids though. Maybe for the best answer, I suggest you contact the hotel and check with them directly.
