Was here as a stop for my Singapore trip, didnt plan to spend the night at Singapore. Early check in was available but depend on the timing as well. I manage to check in by 10.30am and have a bit rest before entering Singapore and came back by end of the day. The hotel was quite old actually but it does have good maintenance. There's lots of eateries across the road. Also the breakfast was quite good as well.

Had left a few items in the room last week. Made online enquiry, had sent and email and finally personally went to the hotel to request them to check. No news until now. Not convinced that the hotel management bothers about our needs after patronising their hotel.

I came here 2:55 because my check-in time is at 3pm which my boyfriend booked for me. The frontdesk lady told me that the housekeeping is still cleaning the room so need to wait for 30 mins. Then after 33 mins, I went back to the front desk and was told it is still not ready yet so I should wait additional time. Then I said my actual check in time should be at 3pm and Im paying same amount and I waited 30 mins already. Then the guy in the desk just said single “sorry“ and left like trying to avoid the situation. WOW. Then I had to wait another 25 mins more, overall we waited almost an hour. When I came up I saw in my room there is an ashtray which I’ve requested non smoking room. Later I checked the room, there was no bathrobe and no room slipper so I called the housekeeper number and asked for it. They called back and telling me it is out of stock and usually for bathrobe they prioritize the level 22 guests etc. unbelievable. Room was quite good but BIG NO NO to service. Bathtub has some stain and room smells so so.

If you are looking to enjoy a vacation, don't pick this hotel. Let me list the reasons : 1) The lift is OLD and SLOW. So if you stay on a high floor like us, good luck! 2) The corridor of the hotel was HOT not like a hotel at all. 🥵 3) The doors 🤦🏽‍♀️ are so OLD that the key card couldn't work so we had to go down again to get someone to assist us. 4) When we finally went into our rooms, the furniture/decor was old. 5) The pillows were hard, the towels didn't look fresh - greyish. 🤔 The bathtub was stained, the flush didn't work at times. 6) There is no ironing board provided, however, you can head outside to iron your clothes at the "Ironing room" where there are 2 ironing boards. 7) The breakfast spread was minimal and most of them were not tasty (but tastes differ, this is our opinion) This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel but I don't think it even deserves a 3 star. Renovation is definitely in need. We won't come back for sure. Our only takeaway that was positive were the friendly staff at reception. 😊

I bet this was a grand stay back in its hay days. For the price, in todays markets, its too old, bed/pillows are too hard, not all bathroom fittings are functioning, neither are some electrical. Ya have yourself a great location, so renovation is long overdue to stay in the market.
