4 of us checked into The Arden’s over the weekend for a 2 day trip in jb. We checked into the luxe king. There is a security to look over the outdoor car park, and front desk available 24/7. These are plus points. However, much can be improved for The Arden’s. The towel are all mouldy and yellowish, air con aren’t cold, and the bed sheets had stains and strands of hair left over from the previous guest (I believe). However the location is very convenient, but I am not willing to settle for a aircon that’s blowing warm air, so I don’t think I will be staying at The Arden’s till they re-renovate again. But still, thanks for the stay.

This boutique hotel is located in a quiet corner within the Austin area. First impression was good. Unfortunately, we were given a room with no refrigerator, drinks to start. When checked with the front desk, they acknowledge that the room is under maintenance. The question then is why were we given a room which is under maintenance? The hotel was not fully book that day. That being said, for people who are looking for a affordable and quiet place to stay, the ardens hotel is acceptable. Breakfast was prepared fresh.

Second stay and well greeted by reservation desk Indian lady, very polite and cheerful. The guard on duty is also very humble and always open main door for us. Check-in was swiftly as its weekday and not many guest. Located in between 2rolls of shoplots and night time will be quiet which is great for good rest, however, this time we were given room at Level1 and the aircon is very noisy, even after adjusting to the lowest fan speed, its still make rumbling sound all the time. Plus point is room is clean with complimentary snacks and box drinks, toilet and shower area is spacious and water pressure super good. Would be more suitable for ppl who drive as the only eatery within 1min walk is 24hr E&Y mamak stall. Will need to drive approx 5mins to reach Mount Austin hype area with lots of cafe. And 10mins drive to Tesco & Jusco Tebrau City.

The room has terrible smoke smell and the walls are moldy with mold mites. Reported on the smell yet they did not take the initiative to change the room even though they know that we are staying for 2 nights. Very poor ventilation. The towels are filthy and floor are dirty yet they didn’t provide bathroom slipper. The walls are thin so it is noisy and can hear the noise from next door and corridor.
