We stayed here for 5 nights, due to a family visit. There isn't much other choice when it comes to hotels in Mersing. We got the "deluxe" room: 3 seperate beds with a plastic cover around the matrasses. The cushions were too hard. The floor was stained and there were ants and insects everywhere. No tv. You can see the rooms were build decenia's ago.

We had low expectations. It was an over night stop before the ferry crossing. On the plus side the sheets were clean and it is handy for the ferry, but on the minus side the door to the street doesn’t lock, no outside windows (in the room we stayed in), and generally a bit grubby. Not an experience to be repeated.

Stayed here on two separate nights whilst backpacking in Malaysia this summer. The first night I stayed with my husband in a double for 65RM, and the second occasion I shared a room with two double beds with my best friend (female) which was a little more but we were treating ourselves after a mammoth cross country drive. On both occasions the room had air con, hot water and clean beds, we even got towels. It is by no means a 5 star hotel, hence why I have given 3 stars, but for roughly £13 a night we got safe, secure and clean rooms, what more can you ask for! We were greeted in both occasions by a gentleman who I think was the owner and his son, both were friendly and welcoming. Reception is in a very well stocked shop and there are loads of eating options nearby from traditional Malay to KFC and Dominos. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the bus station where there is a bluewater ferry booking office, and about 15 minutes walk to the ferry terminal.

I spent Christmas-2018- at this hotel and it was a very pleasant experience.I want to pay tribute to Amu who took my telephone booking and to the other staff members whom I met.The hotel doesn't provide breakfast but,at only RM90 per night-including the tourism tax,it is great value. The room was adequate in size, very clean and serviced daily.Sleep quality was very good and I am happy to recommend this hotel.Definitely worth 9 out of 10.Worth a return visit.

PROS; The hotel itself is very well placed between the bus stop and ferry terminal, and is very central in town. The rooms are decently sized. There is working air con, showers, Wi-Fi and TV. You have your own bathroom with toilet paper. The rooms are reasonably clean The price is quite cheap. CONS; The rooms are in a varying state of disrepair. It's not awful, but one of the two rooms we stayed in had a leak in the ceiling and a puddle in the bathroom from a leaky toilet. The glasses provided weren't the cleanest ever. It's right next to the street so it is loud at night, and there is no secure door so anyone could walk into the hotel (but not individual rooms). No kettle or fridge. Overall was not an awful experience, and the price is good, but we probably won't opt to stay here again.

It's a good budget option when you arrive Mersing in the late afternoon/evening for the early hour ferry to Tioman Island. The staff is friendly, check in is uncomplicated and the rooms are ok and pretty much clean, though very basic. If you have a road facing room than it might be a bit noisy in the early hours of the night, but traffic and noise is getting close to zero after 11:00ish. There is not too much happening in Mersing. Plenty of good eating options in close proximity, including a well stocked supermarket right next door.

We stay there 2 nights. Easy hot water, super fast wifi, they provide toe, paper toilets, good AC... They are also super helpful, because we need to leave one day, but we paid two. So they told us that when we will come back, we can stay without paying, what we did ! The only problem could be the noise, when you are near the street. But if you are tired, you will sleep well. Highly recommend for your hotel in Mersing.

This hotel is perfect for a quick stopover, clean and comfy. The receptionist (can't remember her name she had a henna tattoo) was the nicest lady who went above and beyond to help us and her English was amazing!

If you like your sleeping experience to be similar of having your bed placed on a busy roundabout, this is the place for you. The traffic of car and scooters right next to your non-isolated window is relentless. Wifi connectivity? Only in the lobby, with speeds that will have you long for a dialup modem again, as those were faster. To top it all off, it features uninterested staff that go out of their way to NOT help you with the simplest of things like printing out a boat receipt. I mean, I can see your printer right there! They do however like accepting your money. The rooms features a lovely depressing atmosphere. The door to the bathroom is made from plastic. The airconditioning's condensation is exiting on your bathroom floor. Run...Run while you still can.

Stayed one night before taking the ferry to Tioman. Room is large, clean, but old style. Has aircon, tv (Animal Planet and Nat Geo are the only English channels). The guy offered me the room for 55 Ringgits (Single occupancy ) as it was a smoking room, but there was no smell anyway in the room. Wifi worked in the room, but the signal was not very strong, as i was on the 3rd floor. Annoyingly there was no upper cover sheet on the bed, just a lower bedsheet, so i had to use the thin blanket supplied to cover me at night. Pretty good value overall.
