I stayed at this hotel on 19th August simply because my ferry from Tioman island changed the departure time. So, I looked at all the hotels in Mersing. This looked the best and was the most expensive at £54 for the night inc breakfast. There is only one reason to go to Mersing and that’s to catch a ferry….otherwise ignore this town.People.Very friendly. THE HOTEL……I would call on all hotel websites to remove this hotel from their site.It is a health hazard and should be demolished. From the mould smell as you walk into the room, the non functioning A/C the shower with no hot water, the mould in the room on the walls,……I could go on.It is the first time in all my travels that I have felt vulnerable regarding my health and safety and that of my family. And we were told we had been upgraded!,, I will attach photos to show you the state of our room. The breakfast was for locals only…..spicy noodles and rice with other items that I can not describe.Buy breakfast locally if you dare visit this place.

The bathroom seats and shower space were badly stained. Ants everywhere in the bathroom. Lizard in the room, lizard droppings all over the coffee table. Dust bunnies all over the corners. Air cond was leaking throughout the night. Stray cats everywhere. It's gross. I only came here for 1 night because has to take the boat to the island next morning. I won't stay here again.

When I saw the photos online it was rather nice but when I got there it was bad. When I got to the door, it was ok but when I went into the room, it was horrible. I did not expect that the aircon has mold on it and there is no wifi which I need. So I will just rate this hotel 2/5 stars.

Disaster! Dirty, run down, mould everywhere in the bathroom . Ceiling damp, paint peeling and smelly! The hotel advertised with nice photos on Booking.com … what we got was not what we were offered. I checked in and checked out immediately after seeing the rooms! Got our refund , thankfully. The management are aware of this but such a disgrace that no refurbishments are carried out. The Management just turn a blind eye. The staff were very patient and apologised and said , they could not do anything - unfortunately complains have been made to deaf ears! Sad state of affairs for Malaysia‘s image.

what to expect from a roadside motel, everything in this “hotel” is outdated as it was built in the mid-90s, the rooms were sleepy-able but the only problem was the bathroom, it look like i’m stuck in one of those “backrooms”, pls do search it up as it is quite interesting, and yeah everything looks so cheap and 90s

I was stay in Hotel Seri Malaysia Mersing for one night (3 June 2022) with my Family. We drove from Kuala Lumpur around 6:30pm and arrived in Mersing 1:00am. Checked in into Hotel Seri Malaysia (Booked) immediately. When I step into the room given, there are bad smell in the room and the ceiling and the wall are dirty. Mattress and Pillow cases are dirty and smelly. Toilet not well maintained, dirty too..... Conclusion is I WILL NOT CHOOSE TO STAY ANY HOTEL SERI MALAYSIA IN MALAYSIA IN FUTURE !!

I’ve been here last week. Checked in for 1 night and I was amazed with variety of food in buffet. Everything was superb delicious except the unfortunate event that shouldn’t happened and broke my dinner moment. I have to keep checking on grill section just to get a piece of ayam percik. After 3rd attempted but the chicken still not even on griller. Never mind then, there is a few balance that already grilled and I asked the staff to reheat it. 4th time I went again to the grill section but they still do nothing!! What a nonsense and damn terrible service!! For me, that’s it. I felt like a BEGGAR to keep asking for it all over again. It’s horrible! My friend calmed me down and we still wait for it but not for me anymore. But as per what my friend got was something unworthy to wait for and such a terrible chicken. They served the chicken with not a clean bowl and too much black pepper sauce became percik chicken in gravy. What a frustrated result 👎🏾 with a slow water pressure in room.

We stayed one night before our trip to Tioman. We’ve been to other Sri Malaysia Hotel before so we kind of know what to expect. Do note that this hotel is not for a fussy traveler. Old hotel but the room is spacious. Stayed in family room and the rates comes with free breakfast. Varieties from western to malaysian cuisine. Staff was very kind to allow us to check in at 11am. We got a room with pool view and it’s also facing the sea. Swimming pool, cafe and sorrounding areas clean though might use some refurbishment. For the price we pay, I think this hotel is a good bargain. Location wise, very near to almost everything especially Mersing Jetty. There’s plenty of Malay hawkers next to the hotel if you’re looking for options.

We chose to stay here because of the location. It was a one night stay. They have ample parking space, and good view of the sea. The staffs were nice, friendly and helpful. They provide breakfast. Nothing fancy but enough. The aircond and the water heater works, which was a huge relief. If you are looking for a luxurious and a cozy stay, this is definitely NOT for you. Enough said.

All the reviews on line half to be fake, room was filthy, stained or dirty pillow cases, peoples hair not ours, beds were uncomfortable and blankets are from 1970. No Wi-Fi in the room only in lobby and tv barely worked not to mention the dust and dirt behind the tv and on the lamp shades. You could see peoples foot prints on the floor and the towels were also discolored.
