Located a short walk from the bus terminal as shown on Google Maps. The hotel provides a free shuttle to the Harbour Center. Very convenient. The reception lady was friendly and helpful. I stayed in a standard single as I was only transitting. The room was small, basic and clean. Small desk and chair. Some hanging space but no shelving to lay clothes. The aircon and tv worked fine. Lighting was good. The bed had clean linens and provided a good sleep. The bathroom was a small wetroom. The shower had hot water and good pressure. Walking distance to 7-11, KFC and other shops. Excellent all round value for an overnight stay.

A super basic budget hotel that’s suitable for just catching some Zs. The rooms are small but decently clean. Had a number of insects in my room. Don’t expect luxury. The only major turnoff is the noise. You can literally hear your neighbours’ shower running, every squeak of their bed, item falling on the floor, door opening and closing. And when I say neighbour I mean everybody on your floor. Sometimes the cars on the road are pretty loud too. If you’re a light sleeper, this is NOT the place for you. Steep staircase, no lifts/elevators. No complimentary water. Aside from that, hotel offers free transport to and from Mersing jetty for those going to Tioman which is very convenient. Overnight parking is RM8/day compared to RM15/day at the jetty so it’s quite worth it.

We checked in for a one night stay on our way to an island off Mersing. The hotel is located about 10 minutes drive from the ferry terminal. It’s location however is a bit hidden from the main road. Parking is quite available, in fact it also offers long term parking for hotel guests who are going to the island for a little fee. Transport from the hotel to the ferry and back is provided too. The room is quite spacious and has the basic necessities to make it as a good transit hotel. Recommend.

We stayed for 1 night prior to our trip to Tioman island. Simple and clean hotel at an affordable price. Very convenient as we can park our car at the hotel and they transfer us to the Jetty and picked us back. A good choice!

We stayed for 1 night prior to our trip to Mersing island. Decent hotel and got good price from Agoda. Hotel offered RM 8/per day parking for those who wants to leave their vehicle instead of leaving it at the jetty. The hotel provides free shuttle to the jetty as well. Convenient much to us! Will return if we go to Mersing again. To improve: Room need to be air as there is slight damp smell

Stayed here after our trip from Tioman. Requested a room at the ground floor. Was slightly noisy from the cars from the carpark but was bearable and common in the city. It was a small room, but very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend here if youre stopping over before of after your Tioman trip. They even have a shuttle service to the jetty thats quite cheap and parking your car at the hotel is cheaper than parking it at the jetty.

Firstly... Mind the monsoon. Don't go to Mersing or Tioman during monsoon months. Everything in Tioman is closed down. Even if you can book, don't go there. You might get stranded at the island. You only go to Mersing to catch the ferries to Tioman (don't forget Cataferry). There is no reason (yet) to waste your time in Mersing. Now for MG Hotel. This is probably one of the best hotels in Mersing. MG is close to the bus terminal and they will drive you to the ferry terminal/jetty. There is a big supermarket just 100m away from MG Nice helpful staff.

chosen this not expensive hotel just for 1 night to make my transfer from Tioman island to direct bus going to Singapore. There was no early ferry in the morning to catch bus leaving around 12 noon. Hotel is near the bus station and not far from ferry. Nice small rooms, aircon, TV, shower. Only stairs to the 2nd floor, could be inconvenient with heavy luggage.

We stayed here for 1 night before catching our ferry to Tioman the next day. For the price of the room, which was very low cost, it did the job. Its pretty basic but the rooms were clean if not small and the staff were helpful, even providing a shuttle to the ferry in the morning. great location for restaurants and to get to the ferry and the bus station

MG is a small two storey hotel that provides everything you need for a stay in Mersing. We stayed in a ground floor room (which didn’t require any steps at all). There was free parking just outside our room and bringing in luggage was easy. The location was good, near all the shops and the local Chinese and Indian temples. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see. Check-in was easy and the wifi worked well. The 24 hr front desk had friendly staff and there was a vending machine with cold drinks. It was pretty expected that most people are heading to the islands off-coast (we weren’t) and the hotel offered extra parking and services if you were doing that. The room had a pretty basic decor with tiled floor throughout but was roomy and clean. We had a large king size bed but there were also rooms with two double beds. We also had a small table and desk with three chairs and adequate charging spots. The room included a flat screen tv, tea making facilities, a hairdryer, toilet paper and soap (but bring your own shampoo) which was good for a low cost hotel. It had really good adjustable air conditioning which you are asked to not take it below 19 degrees (more than enough!). The bathroom was also spacious with one of those instant heating showers which requires turning on and turning dials but was warm and had good water pressure. There wasn’t a separate shower enclosure so exercise precautions.…
