Talking about Alang's Rawa - We did not know that such a beautiful place existed till my wife, and I were there for a 4-day 3 night stay for our 1 year wedding anniversary.
Our stay at Alang's Rawa was such a beautiful experience with 3 meal buffet, unlimited snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming (all for RM 100 deposit which was returned on our last day), so technically speaking the activities with the equipment's were free of charge. The sound of the waves and the breeze, together with the twinkling stars at night is still fresh on our minds. Waking up to a serene scenery was literally the moment everyone should feel. Not forgetting the wonderful, cheerful, friendly, sporting crew who was always there whenever you needed them.
So being a good husband, I decided to surprise my wife on the island for our anniversary. To my surprise they replied to my email and agreed to hear my plans out. All I can say is, they heard my idea and translated everything into action and gave us a memorable moment. With the sunset on the background and the right romantic moment, we could exchange our marriage vows and rings.
Speaking about the rooms, to be honest all their rooms are facing the sea from various directions. The best is still the A shaped room and the Jungle room which was where we stayed. Even, the rooms taught us a great lesson whereby to trust each our neighbours because all the rooms on Alang's land does not have a key and it takes a lot of courage to leave you valuables and go out to do about your daily activity.
The whole environment makes you feel so comfy and safe till you forget the negativity. Our sincere thanks from the bottom of our heart to the management team of Alang's Rawa, Lorraine (The Boss), Sheena (The Awesome run to person), Sous Chef Apau, Chef Saad and team (Top Notch cooking with quality taste), Helmi (The cool fisherman), Dino (The best beverage suggester), David (The sincere helpful guy), Ivan (Bar Boy), Aween (The time keeper for boat transfers) and rest of the crew member, you guys made our stay unimaginably unforgettable.
Finally, we wish to say what we said on our last day on the island which remains the same till this very moment and it will always be, "We left a big piece of our heart at Alang's Rawa"

We’re blessed to have great sunny weather throughout our stay in this beautiful island.
The Hosts are heart warming and paying attention to details. Requests are met without delay to meet our needs.
The Food is simply awesome and tasty. Three times a day and it’s our highlight of the day. On Saturday, we have had barbecue food right on the beach with the sea breeze and waves freshening the air.
The Rooms are authentic with a nostalgic feel. Each room is designed to give maximum view of the sea. Most amazing thing is there is not a single mosquito here!
The Facilities keep us very occupied throughout the day. We just can’t get enough of the white sand and glistening waters.
It’s the best family trip ever since the pandemic. We encourage you to make this place your first trip.

This is the best vacation i ever been after the MCO. It was adhoc decision but i am glad i met this trip to Alang Rawa. It has been a dream to visit Rawa Island and i am grateful i took this opportunity to be here. We stay in the one of the cottage next to the beach. it's private and small resort but it less crowded and we all can have a privacy and me time in this island. the view from the room is magnificent but most of the time we are at the beach, swimming. food was generous. and we would love to come back here, maybe 3 nights would be better than2 nights. i really love swimming in it's turquoise and clear water. just have to be careful with the current and the coral. The sun was shining brightly when we were there. so choose the right month to go.

Alangs Rawa is stunning, it’s like being washed up on a bounty island The buffet meals are totally delicious, plentiful & the choice is amazing with everything being cooked fresh at each serving. The rooms are right on the beach, have AC & hot water & very comfortable beds It’s the perfect, very safe family hide away & I can’t recommend it highly enough. It has a very happy bunch of long serving staff who can’t do enough for you !! Fabulous!!

We had an amazing holiday, very relaxing, great food, friendly staff, crystal clear water, great weather. Room was rustic but just what we were after. Unfortunately the beach is nothing like it is portrayed in the photos on instagram and the website. A storm/rising tides has wiped the majority of the beach out and it is now covered in sandbags. Obviously out of their control but they were not honest with us when booking and still now are putting misleading pictures up on their social media. We were there around the same time as one of the owners and the staff definitely upped their game during this period, the food and service declined when the owner left which left us a little disappointed upon leaving the island. All in all, an enjoyable trip but be warned, the beach is covered in bags of sand to try and keep the tide from washing more of the beach away. Makes access to the beach difficult, unsafe for youngsters and looks horrible. You can of course move up beyond the sand bags and even use the other resorts beach next door but that is not what is portrayed on the website and social media.

Set your mind to this picture: Emerald green seas, blue skies, soft white sand.
The sea breeze blows across your face as you walk along the beach, and your feet touch the fine and white sand. Time takes a chill at this island. The big boss, Lorraine was there when we visited. It wa a privilege to get to meet such a lovely person. All the staff at Alang's are Awesome! Note the Capital A.
The rooms are nice, clean and cozy. Nice air conditioning and a big bathroom (we stayed in the Little A Frame. Second mini house from the sea).
The food Alang's serve is very good. There are more than enough to go a few rounds if you can eat. They will not leave you hungry.
You get a variety of food here: rice, pasta, potato salad, squid, prawns, vegetables, chicken, beef, fish, bread and garlic butter, eggs......eat til your heart is content! Every meal is super tasty.
4 days is not enough to really soak in the ambience and energy this island provides. Will definitely go back again soon!
Things to do: swim, snorkel, kayaking, paddle boat, sun bathing, beach volleyball, take a nap on the beach bean bags or hammock, read a book, take cool pics, go hiking, drink, eat....anddd repeat!
Tips: Bring a few bottle of water for yourself. That's all. The rest are provided! You can order whatever extra you like at the bar and just pay at the end of the day (apart from the 3 buffet meals per day Alang provides, which is included in your package). No card payment, but you can do a bank transfer or just pay cash. Easy peasy!
Some may compare Alang's Rawa to the Maldives. I'd say, Alang's has got its own thing. Is can't be compared to anything else in the world. You have to experience it to feel the magic this place has to offer.

I don't usually give 5 stars, and this one deserves it. Beachside cabins, extremely clean, the food is absolutely fantastic, the treatment of guests is A1. On Saturdays there is a barbecue, there is a huge fish that you can tell is cooked for several hours at a low temperature and with a coconut and citrus sauce that you will try only a few times in your life. Great stay with perfect food and comfortable rooms, the towels and sheets always smell good and that says a lot about the place. The owners live in the hotel and are attentive to every little detail, even making sure that the chair at your table to enjoy your banquet faces the sea. They take perfect care of every tiny detail. Much better than the neighboring hotel, which is very crowded and a little disorganized. I recommend this one blindly, much more intimate, like being at home. We will definitely return, from the south of Spain, and we will recommended it to our Spanish family and friends. Carlos & Yolanda.

Small island paradise! I came to visit for the first time this summer and it was an amazing experience. From the moment before you even get to the island you are welcomed by the friendly team and receive brilliant service throughout the whole trip. Besides the gorgeous beaches and rooms, the selection and quality of food was perfect. Highly recommend whether you’re with family or friends!

The team in Alang is friendly and helpful and this includes their jetty staff, boat crew as well. The pictures you see online are real! The island is simply beautiful beyond words. The island is preserved and not commercialized. So as long as you come here with the right expectations and respect mother nature, you will surely enjoy the endless soft white sand and crystal-clear sea. The food served is delicious and has a good variety. You will leave the island planning your next trip back!

A serene stay on what felt like a private tropical island! The rooms have everything you need and overlook the pristine turquoise waters. I love that I could use kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel, fins and frisbee for free! The food was delicious serviced in a buffet/ bbq each evening with plenty of variety. Service and overall atmosphere was great from start to finish, can’t wait to visit again 🫶🏼
