stop by for an overnight stay, firstly got the room on the third floor, NO LIFT, was told that due to particular online booking, room given has no lift. If you want a room with lift access, pay extra. Then the room was big, spacious but Air Conditioner was not working. Staff came over, checked, and offered change of room, one floor lower. But the funny things was that we were told to go back down three flights to reception just to get the new key. Why cant the staff bring it to us. Second room ok. but scary as the window was out of its alignment. Informed reception but again no similar rooms so had to stay put. Not sure if would like to come back. there are many hotels in town to choose from.
Stay 2 night. good location (near to Shopping Mall )and the staff is friendly and good service. However the cleaner of the room can be improve. I stay in new win, the lift is save and convenient. Pool is the strong point for this hotel
Stayed one night here whilst passing through Alor Setar. Staff are friendly and helpful, room was big, bed was comfy, bathroom was clean and spacious. Pool was nice to swim in on a hot day, free for hotel guests but must wear a swim cap (supplied by staff). All in all, a good stay and a nice cheap hotel right near the centre of town - would definitely stay again!
the hotel is situated at a main road with a very good location as near food outlet a big shopping mall. the room is clean and spacious. however i stayed at old block where no lift facilities and i have to carry my luggage to my room on the top floor
This hotel equipped with variety of facilities for activity such as badminton, squash, swimming...etc. It is very convenient and quite nearby to the biggest shopping mall in Alor Setar, if you are willing to walk for 15minutes.
Pro- Room (Q-bed): Big, clean, A/C is new, all nice Toilet: Clean, Not that spacious but complete with the necessaries (hot shower, soap etc) Elevator is working good, parking is available in-house. Staff is all friendly & helpful. Contra- No nescafe is the room, just mugs. :( No balcony Overall: Worth the penny. I'm ok with it.

Need to wear full swimming suit.. no short pant.. need a cover your head.. to much noise.. This is a public swimming pool.. but u have to rent cap for swimming.. hurmm.. this not good 4 your bissness.. 1 time i booking the hotel.. need a cap for swimming.. if u dare .. u cannot swim. So..teruk.. the pic incharge swimming pool. Or your managerment.. why u open the swimming pool when u in build other one building beside new hotel .. ohh..my god. No internet.. no wifi.. 2 day 1 night i am staying
I had a course to attend in Alor Setar for the whole week so i decided to stay in this hotel for its location which walking distance to Aman Central.. The room was very big, no elevator and got A/C as well.. The bed is pretty worn out and i can spot bed-bugs on the beds.. Since i already paid for the hotel, i decided to just sleep on the floor while using the blanket as liner.. Overall, if you are not picky, this hotel is very good compare to what it offers.. Karaoke, kafe, badminton court, swimming pool, convenient store, and best of all, their own private carpark
I always stay here when I am in Alor Star for business. In the 13 years I have stayed here, this is the first time I have experienced noise levels which are unbearable way after midnight. This hotel apparently has a new manager who allegedly approved for the swimming pool to be used till 1am for a personal birthday party. With alcohol involved and teenagers being the main guest, it went badly. Very noisy till I had to come down and confront the group because the group of people were not heading the advice of the pool and reception staff. I was verbally harassed by a patron at the party saying this is a private pool and they have all rights to be there! This is a hotel property and the pool is open to the public, how can it be private? With alcohol involved, the manager I believe went overboard in allowing this to happen. How can Alcohol be consumed in a pool side, this is hazardous. This went on till 1.15am. As a regular patron, with heavy heart I have to say I was not comfortable as with other fellow guest. The owner called me personally to apologise and to change to a room further away from the pool but I rejected to this offer as it will mean packing and unpacking. To the manager of ASRC, you have got a lot to learn. A one time party may give you income but this will hinder us your hotel regulars to avoid your hotel. Imagine you losing my business of at least 30 to 40 days a year! Thats how much i stay in ASRC a year, and thats me alone!!! How about the other guests!! Cheers, with NO ALCOHOL of course... …
Room is huge. Clean but old. Swimming pool is the most famous in Alor Setar as public can access it. This place is more of a recreational centre to me. They even have minimart and badminton Hall. Nevertheless, I sense new building upcoming in months to come so I hope newer hotel room to accommodate more travellers. Hotel is 5-10min walk to Aman Central and Menara Alor Setar. Easy to get food too at the opposite road. Overall good location.
