Stayed at the hotel on 14-16 Sept 2022. The hotel conditions were a bit rundown with defects and damages especially the toilet. Stains on the marble floor not cleaned/polished thoroughly. Bath tub missing 1 faucet. Nevertheless, I enjoyed Alor Setar serenity.
The carpet is so dirty. I saw some dirty spots on my room carpet. The environment feels so old and not good. The staff doesn't seem to be happy with any smile on their faces. Yellowish water when I use the bathtub. Doesn't have room service. Some lamp switches not working. They use digital touch switches. Seem to look futuristic but not working. Totally not useful. The breakfast is good.
Paid for family room…but totally can’t use the bathtub for my baby…frustrated & disappointed…YELLOWISH water…even after the fifth time I fill water into bathtub…not valued for money at all..room looks OLD
We understand the Covid has impacted on tourism but it doesn't justify the filthy room and smell and poor service. Staff don't seem to be happy no smile on faces. Breakfast limited to one menu with 3 choices A B orC. Bed Sheets where stained Bad.
What a bad day for me. Yesterday I arrived at my car in good condition but today afternoon I wanted to go out to take my wife out on the road suddenly my car breakdown. because the battery ran out. My car can't start in front of the hotel?
All staff hotel was friendly. That the good part. The worst part was equipment and facilities. Really need to improve especially family suites room. The bath tub was dirty, toilet cover was broken and also tap shower cannot use. I dont think i will be back to this hotel again. It was my first and last experienced stay in this hotel.
Room was not well maintained..Cleanliness was totally crap.. communication error between department? Toilet space was too small even for asian! Toilet in between shower and hand basin.. Not recommended. There one lady walking around the reception counter wearing casual with hijab..I believe she's might be the DM/AFOM/FOM...she's quite old..not even smiling to the guest..no customer service at all..
Quite old hotel. Really bad choice. Firstly, Carpet smelly and lot of stains. They dont even vacuum the carpet. I ask housekeeping to keep vacuum this room but still got hair and dirt. Dusk everywhere at the table. Got spider webs at the curtain. Ceiling got stains of leaking. Secondly, Toilet really dirty and smelly. Basin or sink area, the water super slow to go down. Leaking under sink. Floor at the bath area super slippery and dirty. Really bad choice. There are better hotel at Alor Setar. I regret book and pay this hotel. I attach my photos for proof of lack service for this hotel.
The hotel is a bit pricey for accommodation in Alor Setar (we paid around RM 200 for 1 night) but it is a comfortable hotel for guests (after all you get what you pay for) Nevertheless the room we were given was very comfortable and you can’t get the same level of comfort for this price in KL, Penang etc. Staff are friendly, probably because there are not many guests staying. The hotel is a bit of a distance from Aman Central mall but still walkable within 10 minutes. If you come to Alor Setar via the KTM station, you will need to take a Grab as Alor Setar town centre is a bit far from the station. (Around 8-9 min ride)
We stayed here for 2 nights, first time visit. Quite good actually, room was big, nice and well equipped, beds were comfortable. Ample parking. Breakfast was quite good. Only comment was the noisy aircond. The kids enjoyed the stay. For the price, it was good overall. We may come back.
