Many tourist things to see in easy walk from here. We had the Superior room. The shower temperature and pressure was great. There is no fridge to keep drinks cool but there is a 7-11 and a mall over the road. Night market is out the doors and to the right about 100m. Side note- I was impressed how clean Alor Setar was.

location wise is superb, right in front of aman central but the room is super dirty. the front receptionist is good and accommodating but the room dirtiness level is beyond imagination. so better to opt for another hotel nearby.

It’s a budget hotel with very friendly staff and located right across the street from a very big shopping mall (with lots of food and coffee). On the other side of the mall is the famous tower, so location wise it’s a good place. The room was small but there was enough room for our luggage. Bed was comfortable, however there were some stains on the sheet. Shower had very hot water and good water pressure, but after showering there was 2-3cm of water in the whole bathroom (took about 30 minutes before the floor was dry again). Air con did its job. As the price was very low, and it’s good value for money, we considered giving 4 stars. However, this place is “good” and not “very good” and the second night there was a lot of noise from the many dogs on the street so didn’t slept that well. First night was quiet, so don’t let that put you off.

Comfortable room to sleep. Booked through an OTA - saved a lot! Terrible Wi-Fi connection - only usable at the Lobby. Warm receptionists. Value for money. Great location, walking distance from Aman Central Mall, Menara Alor Setar & Zahir Mosque.

Friendly staff greeted me when I arrived. Since I decided to stay somewhere cheaper, I can't complain on the average standard. There's a RM50 deposit rule What I like - location, free water dispenser with hot water available. What I don't like - cleanliness, no lifts, bad TV reception, no safe deposit, door lock security is basic and bad Wi-Fi reception. To sum up, it's average overall.

We had stayed in this hotel for several times. Twin bed, triple bed and family room. Room cleanliness was acceptable but not tip top. Family room was very spacious. We do not like the toilet designed. There was one step up to shower/toilet and you need to be careful so you do not fall. The floor is quite slippery too unless you bring your own slipper. Not recommended if you have elderly staying. There are many hawker stalls around this hotel vicinity but parking is an issue. There are limited parking bays in front of the hotel. If you come back late, you need to park elsewhere maybe behind the hotel.

1st at all, the location post online is wrong. You may look for PMC (putra medical centre) to get to the hotel. Basically is the next nx to menara alor setar. Generally nice loc as around the motel area, u cn find food court, bar, medical, convenier shop. 7-11 is abt 5 mins walking distance. The area is basically good for chinese. Many food stall are available till midnight. Hotel hygriece is ok. No bfast provided. Things to improve: *bttr mattres as im sleeping on spring. *only two pillows provided *prefer water boiler inside the room rather then centralize water supply station Overall, Worth the value.

Foolishly we booked a night here online to explore Alor Setar before heading to the national park the next day. We arrived around 9pm. Upon entering the motel we thought it would be nice as per the reviews on another website and the general appearance of the minimal lobby. The receptionist girl was helpful and gave us our key along with poor directions to the room (to be fair, when she said top floor she was correct so I can't fail her on that). After roaming the corridors to find our windowless room we entered to witness the cockroaches running away under the bed and television. Eurgh. The bedding looked filthy and the towels stained. The glasses provided had some disgusting looking liquid surrounding them and the shared bathroom facilities were an awful state. Needless to say we walked out, got our deposit back then jumped in a taxi (presumably owned by the same bee group) who then rinsed us 15 for the 3 minute trip back to the bus station. The condition of this hole (yes, hole) ruined my trip as we had to cancel the park to head back to Butterworth at 10pm. Book elsewhere.

Stayed here for a night, the walk in rate is lower than expected for such a clean hotel. Got a room with window but facing the back of the hotel, I believe that the hotel with alor setar tower view will be a great. The room is clean, bed and pillow quality is better than average for the price we paid. Wifi signal is kind of weak in the room, but work well in the lobby. The tv in the room is working very well which is to our surprise (most of the time tv don't work in this kind of budget hotel). Water pressure of the shower is a pleasant. There are 3 food court within walking distance and the thai food restaurant a few steps away is good as well. Alor Star tower, the landmark of the city is right in front of the hotel, and it's a convenient place to stay to catch an early morning flight.
