For the price, please check around other hotels. You may get better deals. There is no telephone in the room. If there is any help needed, you need to go down to the front counter on the ground floor.

Checked in with bed sheets full of long hairs and hairs on basin as well. Suspected the housekeeper didn't change the sheets and did very poor job of cleaning the room. In the afternoon (18/7/22), found him coming out from one of the empty guest room with disheveled hair and looking like just took a nap in there. He was always lingering around that floor (Room 336). So don't tell me about short of staffs. The manager(s) obviously didn't do a good job checking on their staffs performances. This is very unacceptable especially the hygiene part during on-going pandemic. Stayed many times here before and this will be the last. Never again. Only thing good is the location being very strategic and nothing else.

I booked Fuller Hotel from booking.com while im in Alor Setar Kedah for a few days trip. How regret and upset i felt soon i reached at the lobby. Lobby was small and theres 2 receptionist at the table sitting like a prince and princess. No smile ( oh wearing mask - but you can smile with your eyes), not even a words , hi , hello or welcome to Fuller Hotel!!! So i went to the princess table her, maybe he name of Fifie, to check in. She/ he maybe, was showing her arrogant behavior towards me, when I ask hi, you dont say hi to your guest, she just rolled up her / his eyes and straight away asked me ‘You ada booking?” Not even address me as Ms, Madam or , use the words please , may I know.. Then, “ IC card!” 🙁, so I gave her my National ID, she/he took it , not even say thank you When i asked her/him about restaurant, or other facilities , the answer will be “NO”, NO... and finally she /he said “this is budget hotel!!!” Almost shouting at me... And the unpleasant attitude, behavior continues .. not once she said thank you when i handover cards and money for the check in process. What an arrogant, rude attitude this person has towards guests Fuller hotel you only spoilt your reputation by having non trained staff to be at the counter , representing your hotel.. this FIFIe, she/he is not an asset she/he a liability to your hotel. Its a hospitality industry, budget hotel, 3 stars, 4 stars , 5 stars or 6 stars or 1000000 stars properties all only have 1 culture, hospitality culture, smile and greet , talk and having a right attitude. This FIFie , Omg! Her/ his attitude only will bring shame to your name.

Located within the city centre of Alor Setar, Fuller Hotel is definitely a good choice for a budget stay. The biggest shopping mall, Aman Central is less than 5 minute walking distance from the hotel. Famous attractions such as the Alor Setar Tower and Zahir Mosque are also within 5 minute driving distance from the hotel. Good food such as Nasi Lemak Ong and SK Kim Restaurant are just a stone’s throw away too.

+ Rooms were clean, with a reasonable amount of space (don't expect a suite if you are paying the price of a budget hotel). Location was superb, close enough to eateries and Aman Central (by foot!). Staff were friendly. - Parking was insufficient especially at peak hours.

I've been waiting for check in process and totally understood there's only one person and I believe HIS name is fifi (not wearing a mask and not even smile at all), doing the check in... however, here come Arif sit at the reception counter have no courtesy to ask and he did not bother at all seeing someone on queue... I went out to Aman Central and when I came back, friend of mine did join me to stay here. We walk in through the lobby area and again fifi (still not wearing a mask) was asking in very rude manner "where are both of you going". Lack of information given during check in. Staff not following SOP by wearing a mask but insist hotel guests to follow the SOP.

That's all I could say about this hotel. Budget & no frills. The only reason why I choose this hotel was because one it's location. Directly beside Aman Central Mall. The guy at the front desk didn't really help much when we arrived. I understood that check in time was at 3pm but he could have at least offered to store out baggage for us while we wonder around and come back at a later time. Other than that one little hiccup when we got there. Everything else was alright. Didn't really have much communication with the hotel employee. The room were clean daily.Wifi was pretty weak and you'd have to get the hairdryer from the front desk. Oh yeah don't loose you keycard as the hotel will charge you RM$20 if you do. Don't think I will be coming back to the hotel as there's a better one a few meters away.

Response from Maanagement, General Manager at Fuller Hotel Alor Setar
Responded 11 Dec 2019
Dear Zac, Thank you for choosing to stay with us. Baggage storage facilities is available upon request and so is the hair dryers. As you have stipulated , The fuller hotel is a Budget range hotel charging economical rates ( easy on your wallet) so basic services is what we offer. Because its budget we have had many cases where items from the rooms were stolen such as hair dryers, hangers and even TV / Aircond remotes. As you may not be aware - Hotels do charge for missing card. This is a practice in most hotels in this country and abroad. This is so as room key cards are fitted /built in with memory chips which are not cheap. Even if you have traveled a lot and have stayed in hotels which operates on the conventional room keys instead of the key card, missing those keys will also attract hefty charge of RM 100 and above. This is so as missing keys will caused lost of business to the hotel and the room lock set needs total changing to avoid any duplication of the lost key.

The owner of the hotel must make a decision to either operate a karaoke or hotel. My regrets was not look at the TripAdvisor before booking. There are too many similar complaints. The room are too noisy filled with music from the bar and you can clearly hear the songs too. The receptions also looks very tired or they are not interested in their job. They don’t greet from the time you check in till checkout . No hello or thank you whatsoever at all from day 1 . It’s the frontliner and it’s the hotel guests first impression . They all seem not happy at all.

If you want a good sleep, definitely not this hotel by they are playing the music until no mother business. You can’t rest early with their bad soundproof with the live band. Secondly, they don’t provide you a hair dryer which is a very basic amenity of hotel with RM125/night. You couldn’t find the hair dryer so you need to walk down to the lobby with pj and mask put on and sign with a receipt then you only allow to have your hairdryer 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ the staffs told me the hair dryer has been missing so this is the way to collect the hairdryer. How much does it cost a hairdryer to a hotel. The location only brightened up their value. Other than that, you won’t want to stay here.

Response from Maanagement, Manager at Fuller Hotel Alor Setar
Responded 15 Nov 2019
Dear Limshowey, We thank you for your feedback. On the day in question we did have an event running on our rooftop ballroom. The organizers must have overlooked the sound control which we have notified them after we realized. Yes Hair Dryers are available at the Front Desk for guest use and you can always request them to be sent to your rooms. We have encountered many occasions where property belonging to the hotel such as electric kettle, iron, TV remote and Hairdryers been taken away and its not too much of the cost of replacement but rather the inconvenience our next guest in this case like your good self will experience. With that in mind we have assigned the hair dryers to be placed at the Front Desk for our guest request. We pride ourselves as a budget hotel with below moderate rates, but still continuously taking all effort to delivering excellent guest experience. We look forward to welcoming you back and we ask of you to view this as a one off rather than a norm here at the Fuller Hotel.

First time check-in this hotel, since it’s near Aman Central Mall with the hotel looks good and grand from the outside. But once you are in, it’s like an budget hotel or it’s what it is but price is over RM 130.00? We reach early about 2.00pm and being ask to wait for check-in at 3.00pm and cited because it’s high occupancy? At 2.00pm and their official is 3.00pm? Are they operating at low budget and trying to cut cost? We got 2nd floor, advice- don’t take this level room, it’s so noisy with live band in their bar. They should insulated their bar so that noise does contain inside, and the bar operates till wee hours. Room rather clean and with windows facing fake garden. That’s is the only consolation.
