Booking: Online, using www.ghihotels.com. Recommended, it offers best rate, and instant confirmation. Check-in On 2 July. Fast, we were welcomed by a friendly staff, Miss Raihan. The check in process was smooth. We stayed there for 9 nights. Room Deluxe room, triple sharing. Room was ok, equipped with lcd tv, cable tv channels, bathtub, electric kettel. Food The best was "nasi lemak", served for breakfast. Thoroughout the stay, the food served are almost the same. Facilities Swimming pool Check out Very smooth, and the hotel staff gathered at the hotel door say goodbye to us. We feel much at home. Cleanliness Clean, well managed.

Travelled from Terengganu to meet a friend here. It was our first time in more than 15 years. The room was spacious, clean and bed was comfortable.Just what we needed after a long drive. Check in was a breeze. Parking ample. My only disappointment was the F&B section. The waiter was pleasant but unfortunately the food was not. Beverages were way overpriced. I hope the hotel improves the quality of food as I'm the type who likes to eat where I stay. I will however come back but will stay away from the food. Nevertheless, thumbs up for the Management for hiring hearing impaired staff (housekeeping). This is what really impressed me & that's why I'm writing this review. Everyone deserves a chance to improve. Buckle up Grand Crystal, we'll be back!

Business trip in Gurun. Kedah and overnight in this hotel in Alor Setar. The hotel is rated 3 star but i have to say full thumbs up for its service. The staff gave better service than some 5 star hotel. The room is clean. Everything in the room is working and the food, i recommended the fried noodles or crab noodles it will make you to come back again to this hotel.

I had booked the hotel room through internet and the check in was so fast that it appeared like the staff cannot wait to get to bed. It was 11 pm anyway. The delay in getting to the hotel was because the airport taxi driver insisted that the Regency was previously Grand Crystal and Grand Continental hotels. The Regency had to call another cab to send us to Grand Crystal Hotel. The surrounding of the Grand Crystal hotel was dark at night and I was a little apprehensive. I was pleasantly surprised as though the hotel was old and look real old , it did not smell unpleasant and the room was clean. There was hot water and the airconditioning was ok. Daylight makes the hotel look more cheery.. The Coffee House personnel were real friendly. I did find it strange though for the ironing

From the outside, it looked a pretty okay hotel. The price was Rm108 per night which at a small town like this, you would expect a bit better. Once the elevators opened, you will get an assault of that odor very common to old unwashed carpets and smoking allowed rooms. The bed is curved and lacks support and the walls are stained with fingerprints. No breakfast. To have breakfast, be prepared to pay another RM50. Will not return. Will not recommend.
