Had a quick visit to Langkawi and decided to go budget with Citin here in Kuah town.

Had a Standard Queen room with a window, room size ok - lighting was alright. The toilet is a bit small but water pressure was good.

Bed is comfortable although pillow a little light.

The air-conditioned was old and rather noisy.

The safety lock was destroyed - so you only have the key lock on the door.

The hotel does not have a lift - so if you got heavy bags, suggest staying on the 1st floor but they only have twin bedded rooms there.

No breakfast but there are food places within walking distance so no big deal.

Only paid a little under RM 60 for the room, so for that price - is ok la.

Sound proofing for the hotel can be improved - i got the room beside the main road so you can hear the sound of engine going by and the sound from the next room.

Positives
- Good location in Kuah, walking distance to the downtown area, as well as a mini mart and restaurants
- Clean rooms
- Affordable

Negatives
- Our room was located across from the mosque, and due to heat expansion making a opening in the window, we were woken up by the morning prayers 2 nights in a row.
- Rooms were not very large

Dear Dennis K Warm Greeting! Thank you for choosing Citin Hotel Langkawi as your preferred hotel during your visit to Langkawi. We are delighted to have you stay with us. We are appreciative of your kind words towards our service, cleanliness of the room, feedback and review. We apologize that we have not met your expectations in terms of sleep quality. Our mistake is that we did not allocate you at the back of the hotel instead where the sound is blocked off. Our front rooms are usually reserved for the locals as the mosque is essential to them being an Islamic country. Once again, Citin Hotel genuinely thank you for your involvement in supporting us to grow from strength to strength. We humbly request you to stay with us as our esteemed guest on your next trip to Langkawi. Your Sincerely, Mariamma Munisamy Operation Manager

We used to stay in this hotel 3 years back which still gave us good impression. This year decided to stay there for a night and it was greatest disappointment. The hotel was total not in maintenance, the interior of the room was mouldy, the lights are faulty and only one lamp can be on. Asked the front desk and told all the room same. The bed has bed bugs and the pillow was yellow in the interior. One advice, don't choose this hotel even if you are very budgeted. A dormitory is even much better maintain than this.

Recently been there with my family, booking was for 2+3 PAX, already paid. Receptionist said booking is 2+2 and I have to pay for 5th person. I inquired for manager, she said he is at his home since its Sunday. I saw there booking register it was clearly mentioned 3 PAX in 1 room and 2 Family Rooms inter-connected. I started loosing my patience, and inquired for Police intervention, then the Manager comes out from Ground floor hotel room, hides the booking register and says it's 2+2 booking. Want to stay, you stay...otherwise leave. We stayed cause had no option of refund. Pathetic standard rooms were given...cigarette smoke, noisy ambience, stained sheets, broken walls and door locks, AC not functional....even we were denied the complimentary breakfast. These guys are big time cheats...avoid family travellers.

Where do I start? A/c is not cold, room has musty smell, toilet smells like the sewage+garbage truck, torn and stained sheets, malfunctioned sockets, spider webs in light sockets just few inches ahead of your head when you lie down on the bed. Also, bedsheets not cleaned properly as we itched terribly (probably from detergent residue).

Door only has the normal lock (doorknob), but the door showed signs of being forced open. We can hear doors being opened/closed and children crying the whole night. It is like a cheap motel place.

Definitely not worth MYR180++ (no breakfast included).

I went there for family trip. Overall all ok, money worth. We just came walk in because it is a adhoc trip. I request for family rooms but they only have a connecting room. The Indian girl in reception very friendly and like to smile and she show the room to me while my family waiting at the lobby. The lobby quite big. I took the connecting rooms without breakfast. The rooms are clean. The staff suggested many place to visit, she is talkative person. Location near to jeti and Pekan Kuah, easy parking.

Citin Langkawi has been my regular second home whenever im in Langkawi. Location located in Kuah Town about 20 mins from Pantai Cenang however its worth staying in Kuah as most of things like car & bike rental even other eateries & shopping are much cheaper than Pantai Cenang or Cenang beach. We usually travel from Kuah Town to all the places in Langkawi. Rooms are basic however they have renovated from carpet to wood flooring and new painting. Looks Cozy !!. The breakfast are much improved now compare to last I came. Coffee, tea, cordial juices, bread & butter served on buffet table and main course there is choice of western and local which the order will be given to the waiter and they will prepare it fresh served on the table. We loved both choices as we tried nasi lemak ( Local dish) and western we tried the chicken sandwich. Staffs are friendly and very helpful. Most of the island tours can be arrange with the hotel and its affordable. Wifi only at the lobby but it doesn't matter as we were all day out and we only need it to hook-up for 30 mins to check emails and other updates. The hotel uses stairs to reach their rooms but luckily its only total two floors up and staff helped us with the luggage's during check-in and check-out. If Langkawi, Definitely Citin Langkawi again next trip. :-)
