We choose this place as it suites our budget. The place is along the Chenang Beach in the middle of it all.

But you need to make sure what type of accomodation that you want as they have a few. Ours was in a building, with no seaview on level 2. There was no lift by the way.

24 hr Wifi was only available at lobby.

The room is average.. As what we can expect from a budget motel but the air conditioning was good.

We didnt try the food but they have a restaurant for breakfast and dinner facing the beach.

The was a water station that we use everyday to top up our water before going out. (trying to use less single usage plastic bottle)

Overall, we are happy with the facilities and can recommend it for budget travellers like us! 😊

The pictures on booking and agoda is very misleading.
The bathroom looks like an construction site, no shelves or hangers. The wire to the electic shower was taped. An 5 year old could kick the front door open with ease. No safety box. Only bright spotlights and no small lamps. And the tv didn't have any channels on it.
The only plus was the location and the nice bed. Not worth it, unless you just want a place to sleep at.

I'm backpacking around Asia at the moment and have stayed in better places for half the price. Dirty bed sheets, unhelpful staff, holes in doors, live wiring, locks on doors don't work, dirty bathroom. Luckily I was only staying two nights, but if It's your only holiday for the year go somewhere else. The apartments in the 'New building' are unfinished. Terrible. I should have stuck to my £10 max for a room rule, but thought I'd treat myself. Oh well. Save yourselves and listen to this review!

Positive:
The apartment is big and has great beach views. It's not really an apartment because it does not have a living room. Receptionist was friendly and helpful. Location is beachfront with many nearby restaurants.

Negative:
There was no lift. 2 bedroom apartment is in 3rd floor, not good for senior guests. The toilet flush was not working and there was a pump to temporarily fix it which means it's recurring. The lock was also not secured, can be easily broken. Wifi was very bad, almost none. The restaurant staff need service improvement. They are not very hospitable at all (except for the more senior male, which must be the manager). There was a spilled drink in the hallway which was not cleaned for more than a day. Overall, the place felt dirty and old.

Suite rooms are great and have a nice private little garden. The standard room are very basic and relative expensive for the offered quality.
Location in center of Pantai Cenang is great. Good breakfast in restaurant, laundry facility around the corner. Two minutes walk from the beach.

We stayed in a Chalet room, just 20ft to the beach. Good size room, comfortable big bed, good a/c, huge & recently renovated bathroom with good shower, Astro TV. The location is great, middle of the beach. Close to the main street behind the beach with lots of restaurants & Duty Free stores. Maybe the main building is bad, I wouldn't book it based on the reviews, but the Chalet was great; basic but clean & comfortable. Good price for room & location. We've just booked it again.

First of all, if you are paying this price (which is quite cheap), don't expect it to be Hilton hotel. Please, be realistic. The rooms are tidy and neat, cleaning - every day and very accurate. Breakfast - simple, but acquires any country food tastes (I liked their desserts especially). Service...awesome. Because even when you are passing them by on your way to the beach (15 m from the place), they are calling you by name wishing you a good day. Very friendly and welcoming, and believe me, it's not a fake. In the cheapest rooms (like a dorm) they are now providing hot water and changing the furniture. I lived first in that type of room, but then payed a bit more and moved to a private house (they call it "shelly") on the very coast. Waking up of the sound of waves, mmmm...it worth any money:)))) The room, by the way, is very romantic with a big bed and mosquito net above it. And huge satellite TV: HBO, Star Movies, CNN, National Geographic etc. Bathroom is very nice there too. So when choosing the room, I'd recommend living in the house, the best are houses C20, C19, C18, C17 (they are the closest to the beach). Restaurant in the place is very cheap and they are changing the menu in the moment, adding more western food such as spagetti, pizza, milkshakes.. Prices are really cheap: malaysian coffee (locca, very nice!!!) is 2,5ringgit (less than 1$), fresh juices - 5,5ringgit, grill chicken chop with vegetables and rice and french fries is 15 ringgit. Comparing to the other restaurants where just a juice is 10ringgit. And believe me, it's all the same everywhere, so why pay more? Right close to that place is a water entertainment (guys providing jet ski, parasailing, boats). The beach is very clean, the water is so warm and also super clean! Not so many people, so you can relax just listening to the ocean... The place is very nice and as they are improving day by day and month by month, I guess for the next vacation I'll go there again!!

Terrible facilities! Looks like a murder scene, no kidding! Stained walls and floors, dirty sheets and towels. SEE THE PICS! Plus, we were sent to a room in the anex building (on a backstreet) where almost all the rooms were occupied by large groups of men. We assumed they were construction workers that were living there. They were SUPER LOUD all night. Terrible experience. Just DON'T STAY HERE!

Much has changed after all this time I stayed here .The full horror and suffering that I 've ever experienced previously been turned into a beautiful dream that is also ideal . It seems that the management of this resort has triumphed get huge capital to redeem this resort to be as wonderful three star hotel that commensurable to cheap eastern Europe establishment. Most were surprised to see room internal exquisite decoration with safety watchmens who really are strict and cautious . Nothing much should I say bad about this resort hotel on now . But, every visitor is highly advised to seriously taking care to keep their precious goodies as good as being in your own home .

We left it late booking accommodation for langkawi so we didn't have much of a choice when we picked sandy beach resort! The reviews were bad but we gave it a chance. Hotel is in a good location right on the beach we paid extra to have a "superior room" as the standard rooms are across the road and not on the beach! First impression of room was ok it was basic but had ac then we went into the bathroom and it was terrible. Really dirty the ground was all wet and filthy with hair, we discovered a pipe was leaking overhead. The toilet didn't flush and we had no towels! Went to reception and they sent housekeeping he didn't really know what he was at so said he would get maintenance. We left to go for dinner and presumed it would be fixed. We didn't get bk till late that night and it wasn't fixed. I had to go to the reception 3 times before she eventually said we could switch room! The other room wasn't much better my boyfriend lifted up the pillow and there was blood stains on the sheets! I couldn't recommend it to anyone the whole restaurant/breakfast was awful too. It's a pity because it's in a prime location on the beach!!!
