As far as we were concerned the only good thing about this place was its location. 3 minutes to the restaurants and a minute further to the beach. The room was not clean, it wasn't cleaned at all whilst we were there (4 nights), bins weren't emptied, no clean towels & only 1 toilet roll for the duration! The caretakers...

Palms comes well recommened but failed to live up to expectations. At first glance the rooms seem well maintained and by Malaysian standards they are ok. But we had cash stolen from our room during our stay. The management did not really seem to care and acknowledged they had a thief in their midst. The best thing we could do...

We expected this accommodation to be basic and that is exactly what it was. The room was clean. We had a fan in our room, which at night was really hot. If possible get the air conditioned room. They had free wi-fi, however, it was a bit hit and miss. The location of the guest house was great. 5 minute...

We spent six nights here in a double room with fan and en suite for 65RM. We ended up spending a lot of time in the room as there was rain all week! The room was comfortable and clean with hot shower. There is a nice porch area to sit and read or chat to your neighbours and watch the...

This is totally the best value for money place to stay in langkawi. It is in a great location - 5 mins walk and your on the beach, but also nicely away from the noise of the main street. It has everything you need, and more (we used the communal kitchen every morning, and used Sue, the owners, great knowledge...

This place is true value for money. Its hard to believe that there are still little gems out there that exceed expectation but the Palms does. The rooms are basic in their setup but have comfortable beds, a spacious bathroom, a small desk, wardrobe, a small fridge and are kitted out with aircon or a fan, most importantly they are...

The palms is a great place to stay. My husband and I landed here after going to KL, Pangkor and Kuching as part of our honeymooon. We had to stay somewhere else on our first night as there was no rooms available but we went back the next morning and are we glad we did!! Compared to the place we...

This guest house has just everything! It's cheap (we paid 65MYR/night for fan room), it's clean, it's nice and cosy and Sue the owner is just a great host. The things that I liked the most in this guest house is the fact that they're cleaning the bathroom every day (be careful though, they're using bleach and I ended up...

I originally booked to stay here for 3 nights in an air conditioned chalet. The rooms are quite basic but have everything you need including a fridge which is a bonus as there is a communal kitchen area that had a toaster and kettle so you could make yourself a basic breakfast. This for me was great as I'd been...
