Went here for the food with my husband. The crew were so friendly and helpful. We came early so we can choose the spot to eat and choose to eat in the wooden hut or pondok. It was perfect. We choose set A and added terung belacan. All the dishes were good especially kangkung belacan and the ikan bakar. Bubur pulut hitam as dessert were the bomb, it was so nice with the ice cream❤️❤️ Highly recommended place for lunch, but please reserve your spot.
We went back in time and lived in a fairytale from the moment we set foot at Kunang Kunang. The place offers an authentic, regal Malay Kampung experience. We stayed at Villa Manong, a gorgeous and well preseved villa with a massive semi outdoor rainshower and bathtub. The service at Kunang-Kunang was top notch. From the ever attentive and responsive reception by the manager, authentic and delicious Malay Breakfast and perfect housekeeping services. The decor of the entire hotel was tasteful and in Dutch we call it gezellig (i.e..cozy). We stayed for 8 days and 7 nights and wished we had stayed longer. We enjoyed swimming in the floating pool surrounded by lotus plants. Our stay was made possible by the dedication of Mr Rais, who helped us from booking a villa to answering any queries during our stay. He is so kind and to us he was the star personnel of this lovely place. Thank you and we would certainly return to Kunang Kunang and Langkawi.…
Our family had the perfect getaway to Langkawi staying at Kunang-Kunang Heritage Villas. Firstly, the service is impeccable. On arrival, the service was fantastic, we arrived early and as our room was ready we were allowed to check in. They provided a takeaway breakfast on departure due to an early flight. Everything we asked was provided in a timely manner. We enjoyed the relaxed, authentic Kampung feel - mixing with both the staff and guests around the grounds of the hotel. Our kids enjoyed having the run of the hotel and playing and making many new friends. The villas are stunning and have been beautifully restored and maintained. They are over 100 years old and have been relocated from peninsula Malaysia. The bathroom with the wooden bath and eclectic tiles were a winner for me. The pool is a focal point of the resort and is beautiful and serene. It was a strange feeling floating in the middle of the lake. All in all we had an amazing and relaxing stay at Kunang Kunang and can't wait to return one day! …
Authentic Malay kampung feel. The place is a must visit for those who wish to experience ‘traditional kampung’ homes. Waking up with birds chirping is very nice to relax. The originality is there with some modern touches for the amenities in the room. The breakfast is simple but delicious. The cafe space is limited but enouigh for you to enjoy the nasi lemak, malay kuih and other offerings during breakfast. Setting among greeneries brings calming effect. Their lunch set is generous but we took ala carte since the portion is too much for two persons. Rendang Tok ‘Beef’ is a must try. You need to really appreciate the homes to enjoy your stay. It is not perfect but surely a great place to relax.
