Stayed at this little piece of paradise for 8 nights. Room was clean and serviced every other day. Staff were lovely and friendly. The hotel is not on the main strip but on its own private beach which was quiet and clean. A small breakfast of Malasian food was left outside your room every morning which I loved and my wife put the bread in the toaster with jam/ marmalade so we were both happy.tea and coffee were provided and a free cold water filter machine in reception was great as we like to drink loads of water in the heat. It is a 20-25 min walk to the main area,less if you goby the beach but that was ok as we like to walk and the views were great. Taxi was 13-15 picked up at hotel and 12ringetts back. Nearest supermarket 5 min walk,so great for beer. On the beach. A great place to stay. Better sun loungers would be a good idea is my ony criticism . We loved it.❤️❤️

This was my first visit to Langkawi and all i can say is "amazing" trip! Senari Bay Resort is probably the best place in Pantai Cenang to stay, the rooms are located right next to the beach, u come out of ur room and the sands will welcome u! Me and my wife loved this resort, we enjoyed to the fullest. The room is filled with basic amenities, not much luxury inside the room but all the fun is outside as the resort has all kinds of arrangement that u expect on the beach to relax! The staffs are very cooperative and well behaved. The lady their Azlin helped me a lot with the room amenities that i required. I also took a car for rent from the resort at a very cheaper rate. We enjoyed our honeymoon the best way we could imagine and thanks to this lovely resort. I would recommend all the couples,friends,travelers to stay in this amazing place because this place will not dissatisfy u! Me and my wife already decided to come back here in coming years and enjoy again!

First time back to Langkawi in 4 years and was planning to choose which resort to choose from and I stumbled upon Senari Bay Resort. From the moment we arrived, everything was just nice. As I wasn't too sure where this resort was, we called up the number given on their site and asked for directions and it happened to be the owner who answered the phone and he offered to come and fetch us. From his wife to his daughter, the whole family was warm and friendly. Seeing that we were traveling with our son, offered without asking a mattress as there was only one big bed. Nice beach though not great all to ourselves right in front of our room and there was only 4 of us swimming, the other being another occupant in the resort. Watched the sunset whilst lying in the hammock was a bliss. Nice resort to get away from the overcrowded Cenang Beach and this place was only 10 minutes away by walk to main Cenang Beach. This is the place to be if you are looking for a no frills and budget place and a little peace and quiet but i wonder when the jetty for the small fishermen boats opens in a few months, how will the beach be remains to be seen. Trust me when I say only a few resorts in Langkawi can say that they have a private beach as I used to work in one of the luxurious resorts in Langkawi. Planning to come back here in February 2013.

We spent Five days at the resort, and are more than happy to recommend it. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were cozy and clean, and the outside area were a great place to relax.
The staff helped us with excursions, tips, transportation to the airport, and information about the island. We also rented a scooter at the resort (for 45 rm), and drove around the island.
The place is very charming, and friendly, and found it extremily enjoyable.

Mangsor, his wife and his staff went out of their way to make our holiday very enjoyable starting from the complimentary pick up from the airport, to being taken out to lunch on our last day to our complimentary drop off back to the airport.
You can watch the sunset from the private beach and are very close to all Langkawi attractions.
The one and only downfall was the bed which was quite literally like sleeping on a rock. but still well worth staying regardless.

I stayed for 3 nights at Senari Bay Resort. It's near to Chenang beach but you still need car to go to the beach for convenience. Walking is possible but quite a distance. The host is very nice and able to answer to all your questions related to Langkawi. Breakfast will be delivered to your room every morning. The resort has it's own beach which is very near to jetty. The accommodation provides basic necessities such as towel, soap, water heater, tv, and others. In term of security, the resort is a gated area thus, it is quite safe at night.

Hotel staff are the nicest team I have ever had at a Hotel. The lady on reception is the nicest person ever, she helped us with our Taxis, Moped hire, breakfast and anything you asked it was no trouble at all.
The Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Pantai Cenang of 3 minutes on a moped. The gentleman at reception even took us and showed us the shortcut.
The Hotel was great, Beds were really comfy, aircon worked fantastic and the bathroom was good. Best part was the private beach and the hammocks. They were great.
Definitely would come back here and recommend to my fellow travellers.

We spent one night in this nice and quiet accommodation on the beach. Our room was large and very clean, but a bit noisy because of the air conditioner and fridge. The WiFi signal was weak in the room, but was good outside. The staff was absolutely lovely and the price was good. The breakfast, delivered to the sitting space in front of the room with view on the beach, was ok.
Unfortunately, it's a bit far from town (about 30 minutes walk) and therefore it is advisable to rent a motorbike during your stay. Their daily rates for rental seem to be slightly higher than the average in Langkawi, by the way.
This resort could be a good deal for a few nights, especially if you're searching for something a bit isolated from the chaos of the town.

We discovered Senari Bay Resort through Yoga Now (www.yoganowmalaysia.com) with whom we were to partake in a yoga retreat. They recommended we stay here. As we were in the area for 7 days, we thought we'd take a chance on the resort and stay there throughout. It was just fantastic! Ever so relaxing! Hosts, Mangsor and Ida, were just sweethearts and willing to help us out with any requests or questions.The location is about 15 minutes walking distance from the main strip - however - this means a very relaxing and quiet living area. Motorbikes are easily rentable from the resort, we actually rented a motorbike for about 4 days of our stay to get us out and about. Otherwise, we found it quite nice to do the 15 minute walk. The bay has a beach but we found it more relaxing as part of the sneery, where we could lay in the sun and read. We like some action and so, we walked to Pantai Cenang to the main beach. The bay is totally swimmable though! Rooms are clean, simple, no fluff. No tv. They do have AC. We found it great value for price in a highly touristy area. We also were able to organize day trips through our hosts without any issues and we also had a BBQ dinner with them and this was our most favourite activity : fish, squid, chicken, satay, beef, rice, many a dessert! It was fantastic and gave us time to chat with our hosts. We'd definitely return!

I have in the main to agree with the other reviews, particularly as to the friendliness of the owner.
However one needs to be aware that a new restaurant has just opened adjacent to the site and plays load music, OK not constantly, but at times during both the day and evening. It remains to be seen if this will continue as it had only just opened when we arrived and looked very short of trade! Even so clearly location is immeasurably quieter than Cenang Beach but some of the tranquillity others mention has currently disappeared.
On this subject if quiet is your thing you might just be surprised that other reviews do not mention just how close the site is to the Airport and flight path, although personally this did not distract me at all from this peaceful and restful place. I also thought the cost was just a little high compared to Langkawi accommodation prices.
