This alternative restful paradise is not to be missed. It incorporates an animal sanctuary with delightful original Malay/Chinese accommodation. Staff are all exceptionally friendly and the atmosphere calming and relaxing. Not too far from the beach but far enough to escape to peace and quiet . Food really good.

I love the concept at Temple Tree and Bon Ton. Don't expect a modern hotel with all the gadgets and trappings. Accept the warped weathered boards of the old reconstructed buildings, that the windows may not be easy to open & close and that wifi may be wonky. Enjoy the serene atmosphere surrounded by greenery, the lovely concrete base lap...

-staff at Temple Tree and Bon ton are fantastic- even though they seemed short-staffed at times (e.g. doing front desk, manning the bar, booking travel etc.), they were always very pleasant and helpful. -very high quality food at the Han at Bon Ton. -rooms overpriced for what they offer -mediocre breakfast -pool isn't very toddler friendly and the whole area...

Overall good experience in the property, staff was very helping food was good... restaurant was bit costly just be aware of travel agent of the resort, her name is Zue.. she is very clever and crook...I took a scooty on rent and met with an accident and nothing happened to scooty but she was charging 185 ringgit. Please be aware.

I've never written (only used) reviews until my stay at Temple Tree. On the bright side, our meals were the best we had in Langkawi and staff were smiling and cheerful, but for the price we paid for our room, I was surprised by the lackluster accommodation. You could feel each spring in the cheap, thin mattress. Our bathroom shower...

Stayed here for 4 nights recently while in Langkawi. The accommodations are great, reasonably priced, and some of your money goes toward a program that they run which rehabilitates and cares for stray animals. Would recommend 👍

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Though classified as B&B/Inn, Temple Tree is actually more of a boutique resort of many cultures, an eclectic mix of heritage chic...Antique buildings of Chinese, Malay, Indian and Eurasian origin, make up this 8 villa hotel, with 8 rooms & 6 suites now open. Each building has, over its 70-110 year old history, created its own heart and soul. Hopefully we have given due respect to each of these family homes with the restoration process. These houses are now the continuing the story of people who live in them, our guests. ... more   less
