A no-frills hotel with a good location owing to the nearby restaurants and duty-free shops, all within walking distance. The night market is also across the street so you're never out of options even without a car. Rooms are bare-bones but clean, with a comfortable bed and an LCD TV. Good showers and free wifi are an added plus, but in the end you get what you pay for. My air-conditioner was leaky, and the bathroom floor was chronically wet because of the poor exhaust fans. Wifi signal was also weaker the further away you are from the lobby. My biggest gripe has to be NO FRIDGE, so all the wonderful booze (and chocolates) I bought cheaply on the island has to be consumed immediately lest I develop a strong liking for warm beer.

Overall, ridiculously cheap, but be aware of its shortcomings. I suggest spending an extra RM100 and finding a nicer 3-star hotel for your weekend all-drinking, all-singing, all-dancing booze party. I'd give this 2.5 stars if I can but hey, cheap!

We were there on 23 June. It's good for a stopover if you just need to clean, sleep and get out to explore Langkawi. Recent upgrading work @ Azio Hotel had given it a nice-feel to customers on-arrival. But be prepared to climb a flight of stairs to access the Reception and your rooms. They were on the 2nd floor. Provision of soft lighting and the air-conditioning inside had rasied the upmarket image of the property. A double room was selling for RM95 per night in the internet. Wi-fi connectivity was available. As a budget hotel, we got simple luxury ~ clean sheet, a flatscreen TV in your room, hairdryer in the bathroom, free toiletries, hot & cold shower and air-conditioned room. No wardrobe, but fixed wall hooks were provided. Rooms are located on both side of the long corridor. It can be nosiy when guests were chatting outside your rooms. Drinking water was provided from a central dispenser located at the far end of the corridor. Go and get it with a room-jug if you need it, otherwise just buy bottled water. On the ground floor, there was a Duty Free shop. Abundance of wine, beer, chocolates and souvenirs were for sale. Though the price may not be at big discount. Nearby to the hotel, about 50 metres away, there was a chinese coffee-shop. We found a great variety of food there. Tried the Penang prawn noodle soup, Indian apom and Assam Laksa. It was nice except the laksa. Not used to the soury taste. Taxi was easily available outside the hotel and the standard rate applied depending on destination.

Small hotel with good location, cosy and convenient Great location with few kilometer away from Kuah Jetty and free duty shop near by. For business traveller using ferry may be a place to stay as it is more economical for short stay. You may get water refill and iron at common area. However the curtain inside bathroom may need to change as is start to get mouldy. Hopefully the wifi facilities able to be access in the room and not just limited at Common Area.

No lift so it'll be hard for those who have big luggage or elderly people. And the mostt terrible is the staff there. Arrogant. Didnt smile. Didnt greet us. Next, if u stay more than 2 people in 1 room, u have to pay RM20 for 1 extra people without any extra pillow or bed. And the space is so small. Time check out is 12a.m but when we arrive at 11.40a.m to check out, the key is already unable to access. We have to call that unfriendly staff to open the door. The staff didnt even say sorry, thank you or pls come again. And yet still talking while chew gum. We are the guest. Please respect us.

Room is very clean. Flat screen TV, hot shower, water boiler, hairdryer. Housekeeping everyday so we come back to our room to a clean bedsheet and towels after a long day out sightseeing. Within walking distance to dobby/laundry and duty free shop just below the hotel.

The title of my review says it all. I just left this place a few hour ago & the place still linger on my minds for all the wrong reason.
The room is very small and cramp. Luckily i've stayed here alone for business. This place not really for couple or even family even if u pay the most expensive room! It is like tune hotel type of room except this hotel we can use letricity as much as we want & got HBO some more! There were free tooth brush and u have to walk to the end of the hallway to get a hot water. Ironing also got its own place. Wifi is bad but manageble & the staff were quite bad. No smile or greetings watsoever, eventhough its a small hotel.
The location though is right in the middle of kuah town, hence i gave it a 2 star.
Once again, if ur travelling on anbudget & alone & dont mind staying in small room with no window, then this is right one for u..

If you are coming with family, please dont come here. But if you are coming with friends and want to savebudget, yes this is the place. I came with my other 2 friends and it was really hard for us to walk aroud without bumping to them. Small space with no breakfast. They said free wifi but no wifi eventhough we stayed quite near to the lounge

Who needs iron, there is a room prepared just for ironing. Overall, very affordable & saving money for backpackers.

I stayed for two nights at hotel for two nights. The room, itself apppear to look nice, but I found lots of small ants crawling all over the room. I saw a few on the white bed cover, head board and even the washroom constantly throught out the time I was there. On top of that, I found a dead cockrock right under my bed. Then another one crawling around.

What I found most disturbing is that the staff were very dishonest about the cost of services. For example, I sign up for the Mangrove Tour at the hotel which I paid 130Rm. The next morning, when I was talking to another staff, she said it cost 120 Rm. Then when I arrived at the tour, a couple who were from the Bayview Hotel, only paid 100RM. Furthermore, the staff also lied to me about the cost of taxi services like a 4-hour private serivice would cost 100rm instead of 130rm. In Langakawi, there is a chart with the proper fare for taxi services. Furthermore, when I tried to get the desk staff to call a taxi driver whom I had a card, she just insisted that the number didn't work.

Too many discrepencies. Very dishonest staff. Also the location of the hotel is in Kuah, so it is quite far from the beaches and the attractions. One is better off getting a hotel closer to beach area where that is more going on. There are mainly only duty-free shops nearby.

I was join a trip from Johor with 40 other people. We arrived earlier but they didn't have enough room for all of us eventhough we had made reservation. Then, we have to wait about an hour before they give us a room but we have to share, for example I come with my family, 6 of us my parents and my sibling, we all grown ups (15-23 yrs old) , then they give us 2 queen bed for 6 people. Can u imagine that? we have to share the same bed with my parents. It very packed. There are some family who have to stay with other family. Then, the bathroom was open view, you can see the people inside showering, quit embarrassing for Malay people like me luckily all of my sibling are girl but still we are feeling shy to naked in front of our father. And because of my large family, they gave us the back room which you have to turn around to the back building, we got the third floor room and the worst are there was no lift.. We have to climb up with our heavy bag, and my parents in their 50s, so they had a very hard time. Luckily it is just one night stay, and we had bad vacation because of this. Oh ya, we got a refund the next day because of not enough room.

"I wanted Wi-Fi so I had a room near reception. Unfortunately, some people fail to realize that while they may be awake at 5AM, some of us are still trying to sleep. Some children were running around in the reception area, as well, so if you don't need wi-fi, stay as far down the halls as possible."
