Firstly let me say that the staff were very friendly, helpful and lovely. The place is just really run down, it seems like they had big plans then it didn't happen.. it was clean enough and a good choice if you don't have much money to spend as accom in Langkawi (which was a gorgeous island by the way) can be expensive. We booked one of the better rooms and almost got moved to a standard room because of a maintenance issue... after 5 mins in the standard room we asked to be moved back as it was simply dingy. As far as our room, the wifi was pretty good, it was clean, the bed wasn't that comfortable but the shower was better than it looked. Air con was effective and surprisingly no insects/mosquitoes! The pool and grounds are not bad, breakfast again was OK. For around $40 per night, you get what you pay for. It is about a 15-20min walk into the main Pantai Cenang/town area and around 5 - 10min walk to the beach.

stayed one night at angsana room. i thought it was just an average non-frilled budget type of room. the room we stayed was not a fantastic but air-cond and hot shower were functioning averagely. firstly our air-cond was not functioning but manager was willing to change room for us. appreciated.

at night, I saw a tiny bed bug on bedspread. i did not really care and went to bed. next morning, i forgot about the bug i saw but few hours later i found red spots are scattered on my back.

four days past, today i am medicated and still suffer from itchness and irritation. resort management, please take immediate action for the mattress, room 19.

Hello everyone. I had visited Langkawi in May 19 and stayed at Green Village, Pantai Tengah for t04 days. A pleasanrt stay at the hotel with all amenities like swimming pool, family rooms, buffet breakfast, toiletries and other amenities. The staff was also very corteous and welcoming. They assisted on each and every aspect to make our stay comfortable. The hotel is even near to the Panti Cenang beach. A wonderful place to stay for families on a budget.

When we arrived to the resort, no one in the reception. There were some guests or staffs (we don't know as they are not wearing uniform) playing pool in front of the counter, we waited until we asked how long we need to wait for check in. Then, there was a young man approached us and proceed our check in. There was no any briefing and don't even inform us what time our breakfast and where we should have our breakfast. No assistance at all for carry our luggage as we had to walked by certain distance to reach our room and there is the sand ground. Really terrible hospitality service.
The room and the hotel really poor maintenance eventually. There were a lot of lizard poo on the floor and cobwebs on the wall and ceiling. Cracking marble floor which hurt our feet. The most disgust is when we opened the water at the basin, the water was yellowish and same goes to toilet bowl as well. It was like such a long long period didn't stay by guests.
We will never come back!!

DON NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!

I stayed with my GB in the Hotel , as you can see from my pictures the hotel room was nothing like the pic that they advertise. The room was terrible, dirty and full of insects everywhere ( specially in the bed). There was even a matters on the floor ( no bed)

When we complained to the receptionist and asked for a refund of the money that we had to pay in advance ( no other option) they told us that because we paid by credit card they could not give us a refund ( what a lame excuse!!!) we ended up moving to another hotel without getting our money back. ( we originally booked for 4 nights)

This was pure fraud. the manager even recognised to us that the pictures do not match the bedroom, But still he stated that he could not give us a refund because we paid by credit card.

To make things worst the internet did not work so it was quite difficult for us to find an alternative hotel. Finally, the breakfast was literately dog food.

DON NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!

I stayed here with my boyfriend for a couple of days in March 2016. The day before we left we spoke to the manager and informed him we need to check out early tomorrow morning at 5am as we had an early flight to catch. The reception doesn't usually open until 9am but he assured us he would be there at 5am to refund our key deposit (50 ringits) and book us a taxi. Well surprise surprise on the morning of our flight he didn't show up, we were left waiting outside and he never showed up. We then had to walk the 1km into town with our suitcases to hail down a taxi. Not only did we nearly miss our flight because of his lies, we never received our deposit back for the key.

As for the room, it was fine, basic but you get what you pay for.

I would strongly recommend to avoid this place at all costs.

We booked this hotel with the understanding that it had a bar and restaurant on site. As a family group with pensioners and toddlers, these facilities were a necessity. However, on arrival last Saturday, the bar and restaurant were both closed and under construction. It was a building site with the construction taking place right next to our rooms. Sitting outside and relaxing was not an option, as builders, hammering, etc were with 1 metre of us. We stayed one night, as we had just landed and could not move with all our suitcases etc. We had booked 7 nights, and asked for a refund for the remaining 6 nights.

The hotel REFUSE to refund us our money, even though we insisted that their hotel is not as advertised and as we had very elderly parents with us and toddlers walking, taking taxis to restaurants etc was not convenient. They agreed in principle to refund us but once we had left the premises, they told Expedia that they would not. Countless phone calls to Expedia have not helped, as they do not seem to have any power to help us get a refund.

The rooms themselves are of a very poor standard, bearing in mind I am quite happy with basic accommodation as long as it is reasonably clean and functional. The first family room we were offered literally had bunk beds right next to a queen bed and no room for anything else. The bathrooms had a very strong chemical smell, which when I located the offending item, it was one of those very strong cubes that they used to put in men's urinals years ago. When I asked the staff what the smell was, they told me it was air freshener!!!! The odour was unbearable, imagine extreme mothballs. The other room we booked, had a shower hanging off the wall and badly stained ceiling tiles.

Please do NOT book this hotel: their customer service is shocking if not non-existant, the rooms are not fit for purpose and their website photos are totally out of date.

Without a doubt the worst place to stay in Langkawi.

Avoid it like the plague.

My wife has reviewed the terrible experience we had at this hotel. It was being refurbished and was totally unsuitable for our party with an age range of 80 to 3 years old. The rooms were old and poorly maintained, no bar or restaurant in this "resort" and we agreed with the management that we could move and pay for one night. When we left and paid for another hotel their lies began. They refused the offered refund, and during ongoing discussions with Expedia they lied that there was no refurbishment, they were preparing for an event and that they had offered us compensation. All complete barefaced lies. They have stolen from us and we hope you don't give any money to these criminal Cowboys. They are mean and under hand and will ruin your holiday. They also run an over priced shoddy hotel.

I have visited Langkawi with my family last week and that was definitely the worst travelling experience for me. Due to last minute travelling plan, we had to book 2 different hotels - first night in a 4-stars hotel and the second night at Green Village Langkawi. Everything went well for the first night. However, when we about to check in in the evening after our snorkeling trip in Pulau Payar on the second night, the resort manager informed us that there was no room available as all the rooms were fully occupied. Thus, they would locate us to a 'so-called' new hotel which is comfortable to stay (FYI, the 'hotel' they recommended is a budget inn which situated away from Pantai Cenang and I felt that I was staying in a building that is not fully renovated). Well, the reason they gave was the 'cut off issue' on booking they were having with the online booking website. However, we did not receive any notice (call, email, sms) in advance on the fully-book room 'issue' from Green Village until we are physically reach the resort and they claimed that the online booking website did not provide our (customers) information to them which i totally feel they are insincere to solve the issue . Furthermore, no refund would be given as the resort manager insisted this is not their fault (so it means either we accept the room in budget inn and stay or leave and bear the losses as all the hotels were fully booked). Thus, I somehow felt 'cheated' as we booked the hotel based on the good review we saw from various websites and the strategic location of the hotel.

According to the resort manager, the room we booked costs RM 140 (actual payment we made on online booking website is RM 175), however the 'budget inn' costs only RM 85, which means they have a saving of RM 55 on the fees. After haggling with the resort manager through a few phone calls, the resort manager reluctantly returned us RM40 instead of RM 55 for the price variance for the room as our petrol reimbursement.

I'm totally unsatisfied with her insincerity in taking the necessary steps to solve the issue.
