Calm, peaceful with nature tranquility. Owner was helpful, welcoming and accomodating. No hassle in check in. Wifi available..but suddenly not connection in the middle of the night (maybe turned off). Rooms was clean and equipped with ceiling fan and air-conditioned except no television. I stayed in bunga raya room which 4 bedded..but 2 bed with hard spring made me uncomfortable and can't sleep well. Good to stay here if you are already have hectic schedule during your stay because nothing to do in your room even no tv. You definitely need transport here because location wise quit far from main road with less attractive view along your way to the box. Not recommend for family with active kids because they may bore. But good for backpackers with every basic facilities you need also worth your money and enjoy Langkawi countryside nature. Overall the box is still a great place just lack on location. …

Check in and out within 5minutes. Owner is friendly. Location not strategic as the chalet is located quite a distance from city. Quite dangerous at night, no hair dryer, has fridge and heater, worth the price.

Had a nice stay for a few nights in the late autumn. Very helpfull staff, borrowed their(?) bicycle, and easily biked around the island (didn't need motorbike). They accommodate your every need. Great room, bed, toilet, shower, all good. Silent and a bot remote ølocation, which is a big plus.

Fantastic place! They rented us a moterbike for a very good price. Very nice people! Rooms have everything that is necesarry for a pleasant stay. The place is very quiet. Also it is central in langkawi. Everything is reachable within a max of 20 min with the moterbike.

I visited Langkawi on my return trip to California after a vacation in the Philippines and Thailand. The Box Chalet was an opportunity to relax and unwind from my travels. The room is very spacious, equipped with a refrigerator, hot water kettle, cold AC and nice closet. The area around the hotel is quiet and safe. Hot water for a shower is plentiful and available on demand. Mas and Fendi keep the rooms exceptionally clean and are always available if assistance is needed. I rented a nice motorbike at the hotel and was quite pleased with it.

This place is a real gem! It's being run by the sweetest couple you can image. They know exactly how to welcome you with open arms and make you feel at home. We stayed for 16 nights and enjoyed every bit. The room is spacious, very clean and has everything you need. You have a cosy shared sitting area, overlooking the cute garden. Since only a few rooms are being offered, you really feel privacy and peace. The location is great if you rent bike. It's in the middle of the island so you can reach all far corners easily.

Everything here is adorable, from the decoration, the small garden, the upstairs bar... All these rooms were named after some cute phrases. Ours was 'Bird paradise'. Our room (included the bathroom) is clean, bright and air-conditioned, our bed is comfortable and pleasant. The owner is kind and informative, he helped us with the map of the island, instructed us how to ride the motorbike on the left side safely and legally. This place gave me some peaceful feeling. The only disadvantage is the location, it is quite far from the Cenang beach (we are the only guests staying in that night) but we had the motorbike so no problem!

We were on the Langkawi Island during Christmas and absolutely loved it. It was our first time not being home during this time of year, but the hosts of The Box Chalet really made us feel at home. Of course the rest of the offered facilities (like the room, breakfast, shower and bed) were also perfectly fine, but we especially appreciated their extra effort and hospitality. Mas and Fendi cleared out some things concerning our Ferry tickets, retrieved our lost keys a couple of times (lol) and arranged a motorbike first thing in the morning when we arrived. I have to admit that the place is a little remote, but you're going to need a motorbike on Langkawi anyway. If you want to see a lot of the island that is. Moreover, we wouldn't want to stay in the touristic part with all the loud bars on our doorstep anyway. So in conclusion, we had an amazing time, thank you!…

Stayed at The Box Chalet for 14 days and it was totally worth it! Excellent room service from the owners, room was cleaned & bed covers and towels changed every day. Hot water in shower, fridge & kettle & AC & fan, free toiletries and coffee/tea provided also every day. The room was spotless clean and the bed was huge and comfortable. Breakfast option available if wanted! Located ~15 min from the main beach area, but the owners provided cars and scooters to rent, so not a problem at all. Countryside area with real nature around was relaxing and actually enjoyed a lot being away from the mayhem and noice of Cenang beach area. All the attractions in Langkawi are easily reached from The Box Chalet, since it is located near the main roads to north and south. Any problems or questions I had, the owners Mas and Fendi were always ready to help and assist. Thank you both of making my holiday so successful! Will definitely recommend this to others and will return to The Box Chalet next time I'm in Langkawi!…

Service was outstanding: room cleaned everyday, bed covers and towels changed. Toiletries provide free of charge. I forget to bring Sun blocker with me- landlady given me one. In options I had a choice of renting car, motorbike and bike for free. Just I needed to show valid driving license. Staff was very helpful, friendly and always available. Room was perfect: wardrobe with hangers, bed comfortable, fridge, kettles and air conditions. Power shower in bathroom. Definitely I would like to come back here :)
