This is a new brand hotel in Langkawi, located just a few minutes away from Cenang Beach. The hotel is situated in Pantai Tengah, where you can find many eateries nearby, including bars and bistros. Previously, we tried out their rooftop restaurant, and the view was amazing. We took a lot of selfies whenever we went there.
This time, we decided to stay for one night due to our busy work schedule. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendly Front Office team. The gentleman who handled our registration process was very friendly, explained the hotel facilities, and served us their signature welcome drink and cold towel. Although our room was not ready as we arrived before the official check-in time, the front desk staff informed us that they would call us when our junior suite was ready.
We took the opportunity to explore the lobby area and took some selfies while waiting. The room was ready within 30 minutes, and the manager came to meet and greet us, along with another staff member who explained the room information and inclusions. They also requested one of the bellmen to assist us with our bags.
When we reached our room, we were amazed by the facilities and amenities, especially the impressive bathroom. We took a lot of pictures, including a video tour and mirror selfies. The bed was comfortable too. We enjoyed drinks and snacks on the balcony while taking in the breathtaking view and stunning sunset.
In the evening, we had dinner at The Orkid Ria restaurant just opposite the hotel. The food quality was satisfactory, and the staff’s attentiveness and friendliness were commendable. However, the service at breakfast the next morning was not welcoming, even though there were not many guests. We didn’t feel welcomed, so we quickly grabbed our food and ate.
Despite this downside, we had a good stay with some memorable moments. We will definitely consider staying here again and for a longer period for a real holiday. Thank you for your hospitality.

Excellent hotel with very pleasant and attentive staff. Rooms are spacious and well appointed and either have a stunning sea view or equally impressive views over the mountains and rainforest. Breakfast was included and offered a good selection of things to eat. The rooftop pool is a great place to relax and Sails, the pool bar, offers a wide selection of drinks and amazing cocktails. Bislama and Csya the bar staff really looked after us. We attended the Saturday night Surf & Turf BBQ, excellent value for money, great food and great tunes and vibe from the resident DJ.

The property is located on the perfect spot near 2-3 minutes walk from the beach. Approximately 15 minutes away from Langkawi international airport, what a spectacular 3 days stay we had at RIYAZ. The hospitality was magnificent and location was just perfect for the family stay. We stayed in 2 Bedroom apartment which was fully equipped with a modular kitchen and a view with the beach & sea. Studio rooms for other family members (coupes) were spacious. The rooftop pool and bar were so beautiful with a view so mesmerising that you don’t feel like stepping out of the resort. Breakfast was really nice with great variety of food for non vegetarians and embodied the cultural essence of Malaysia. Got options for vegetarians as well, however a feedback could be to have more Indian options for vegetarians based on high demand. Overall we had the best time in langkawi. Thanks to Riyaz and team!! I first saw this hotel when I was in Langkawi in 2019 and staying across the street at the then newly opened Aloft. It looked very interesting and I was excited to see that it was finally open.
I booked in for a stay during an extended trip to Malaysia to see how it turned out.
Summary:
Much better options in Langkawi. Not aging well.
Good:
Hotel staff were very pleasant Rooftop pool and amenities were very well done Gym was top notch Overall look and feel of the exterior of the property was excellent

Room was meh. I mean completely underwhelming and already dated and worn out. And for a hotel that opened less than a year ago (May 2023) I was quite frankly shocked with the state of the room. Stains on the couch. Flooring that looked worse for wear and just a tired feel (again, for a hotel opened < 1 year!) The restaurant could have been designed by my grandmother. The floral patterns and muted colors. Yikes. Whoever selected that palette needs a refresher on what looks good in 2024. It’s not this. It’s far from this… Water - absolutely disgusting. And for a hotel that knows that both the island and the property have water issues there better be an abundance of bottled water supplied in the guest room to use in washing your face, brushing your teeth, etc. Was there? Of course not…

If you want to stay in this part of Langkawi (and I would strongly encourage you not to) because Pantai Cenang is quite run down and sad, I would for sure choose the Aloft. This having been said, there is always room for improvement and that is exactly what this forum is all about. I have immediately launched an investigation into the issues you mentioned and will have them eradicated as quickly as possible. The water issue is one which is affecting the entire island unfortunately and we are expecting the arrival and installation of new water filtration units, from the mainland, in the next week. Luxurious experience! Me and my friends were treated so well here. Every single staff member were so kind. A big shoutout to Bisalmi and Emey who made us complimentary cocktails, mine was an apple and cinnamon flavoured, unbelievable! The rootop pool is so fresh and the sunbeds are very comfortable, I had a cheeky nap. I would reccomend this to everyone. If you are here in Langkawi, you have to come and visit.

Lovely hotel. Very relaxing atmosphere. Gorgeous rooms. Staff so helpful & friendly. Sunset at the rooftop pool is a must with a cocktail in hand made by Bisalmi & Csya. We also did the surf turf BBQ which was excellent value and very enjoyable with a live DJ who played some good tunes.

The room is enormous. The bathroom is 20 pieces from toilet to bathtub. There is an outside sitting area where you can see the beach activities and fireworks. The room is absolutely prefect.
