Great and memorable place. It’s been a few years since I’ve been back in Langkawi. Met with many friendly staff and I must say that these two really stand out Jean and Jay from front desk. Met Jean during check in and was very helpful and a cheerful person. Jay was very helpful and informative. Breakfast was great with tons of choices. Can’t wait to be back again. Keep up the great work!!
Westin is a huge old grand dame and everything is spread out. Only discovered we could get the buggy later part of our stay. Checking in was quick and nice with iced tea served although we were not briefed much about the facility around the resort. Needed to approach reception for clarification a couple of times during the stay. Breakfast spread was impressive with lots of varieties. Really enjoyed their superb apam balik! Room was huge and the heavenly bed was comfortable. The basics were done right - strong water pressure, strong air conditioning, good plush bed although the room and recreational centre are starting to show signs of ageing. All in all I enjoyed my business conference at this hotel. Quality of food was consistently generous and above average quality. Staff were courteous and we were taken care of well.…
This hotel promises a lot but is in need of renovation all over. The concierge and porters are extremely helpful, the breakfast staff are really not helpful at all. Huge lack of service at what is an enormous buffet room, it’s almost impossible to get any assistance for coffee or tea. Would have liked better hygiene in the restaurant. Beach was full of plastic and staff were cleaning it daily but it wasn’t great. Beach has biting flies, got covered in bites in one hour. Hallways, elevators, reception has no aircon so impossible to find a quiet cool spot except in your room and it is hotter than ever in July… it has potential to be world class if they can clean up, renovate and retrain the staff and housekeepers. Hygiene and cleaning is a big issue here but I am sure they will get it right eventually. The St Regis Bar right in front of beach is exquisite and well worth the walk, book ahead and go for sunset it’s magical.…
Great views from any part of the hotel, four beautiful pools, a fabulous breakfast, live music in the evenings, excellent food and service and a very helpful front-desk that helped extend our check-out time to suit the flight timings. Westin and St Regis also have a special lounge at the airport for their guests, which was a great plus! Loved staying at this beautiful property and hope to come back soon!
Took three times for the front desk to makes keys that would work for our room. NOT handicap friendly. Many steps to go down to one of the restaurants, and there were NO hand rails!! TV didn’t work. Three different people came to look at it. Still not working. Would never recommend this hotel.
2nd family getaway after the great pandemic. Check-in was great. As Gold Elite Marriott Bonvoy members we got priority check-in at a private section of the reception. Friendly staff hastened the check-in process. Room wasn't very big and a bit dated but had two queen-sized beds and was very clean. Aircon was a bit wonky at first but engineering fixed it and was functioning well after. The pools (we love the Rock Pool!!!!) was fun and our favourite so far to just hang out in the pool and chill. We ordered food and had lunch by the pool. 😆 The lobby bar had a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options and every evening we had drinks there before heading for dinner. Breakfast spread is very, very good with something for everyone. 😊 We were stuffed every morning before the start of our adventures. Overall, the stay was made better by superbly friendly staff (the lady that made up our rooms every day at Block 1, the lady at the bar every evening at 5pm, amongst others). Oh.... And Gold Elite Marriott Bonvoy members also has access to the Westin Lounge at the Langkawi airport for drinks, sandwiches and light bites. 😊👍…
Regular visitors Excellent service from Mr Shan the DOO in particular- you are an asset to the organisation and Bonvoy members Some electrical and heating issues in villas as they are looking tired and need of a facelift Food and service excellent and we will return again
Everything was very good the place very beautiful to stay in and For relax and enjoying pool is amazing also the place offer swimming pool for children .. mr. basil was very helpful and friendly if we need anything mr basil will be there to help I give him 5/5

We booked a suite at Westin overlooking the see with a huuuge balcony for the same price as a standard room at the St Regis next door. Facilities are good. Avoid school holidays - the place is probably overrun with small people. Hotel is well maintained and well appointed although starting to look in need of updating in some areas. Restaurant choices are limited for a hotel of this size but a short ride away is the main town with a lot of places to eat.
