The Bella Vista Express Langkawi offers travellers affordable 'value for money' retreat, be it for leisure or for business. It is only 10 minutes to Pantai Cenang (Chenang Beach) where you can find local handicrafts, boutiques, duty free shops and a large variety of restaurants and bars. Langkawi International Airport is just less than 5 minutes drive away from here. Island centre, Kuah town is around 25 minutes drive way from hotel where you can find shopping malls, duty free shops and banks.

I stayed in this hotel for two days during april 2014.. access to the hotel is only by taxi. check in, check out process is quick. rooms are very small, average aircon effects... joining two beds for couples is very bad idea and it keeps moving .. no wifi facility in the room is a big no no these days. wifi is available near lobby and restaurant and its not convenient.. good thing about the hotel is location. back side of the hotel is facing the sea which is serene, breezy.. pool is adjacent to that and u can spend ur evenings there.. food is below average. vegetarians will find it extremely difficult to tolerate the egg smell coming from tea cups and other dishes.. literally no veg food available(veg rice and noodles they prepare is having egg smell).. no microwave oven in the room which makes it difficult to heat ur own food and snacks..

Location near the airport and beach, however this property is a hostel converted to a an express style hotel. The signboard on the picture in this web site is photoshopped to show Bella Vista, when it actually shows an educational institution. The rooms are badly maintained, with the sliding door glass to the balcony adrift and not fixed. The beds were comfortable however two beds joined together with only two pillows. Air conditioning is split type and worked well and fridge ( empty ) worked well too. The bathroom was poorly maintained with fungus and moss on the tilings and drainage was poor with ponding in the shower stall. I stayed in room 248 and it looks all customers are on the second floor. Breakfast was adequate, with local fried rice, noodles, toast butter jam with sausages and baked beans. Since it was Christmas eve, a revenue stream for the hotel is the mandatory dinner at the main Bella Vista Hotel and Resort in the Langkawi Town Centre. Christmas dinner menu was adequate with a main choice of salmon or chicken. If you are planning to stay in this hotel, please also consider other alternatives. There is no paid or free wifi in the rooms and travellers have to use other alternatives.

A beautiful resort sea facing and a very impressive facade! Hospitality very good! In house services pathetic! Had a power outage for 4 hrs in the evening,no back up! Room service nonexistent! Only plus point is the location and the building. Not impressed!

I recently visited langkawi and stayed at this hotel. I have bad experiences earlier but this was the limit.
1. The buffet is so limited that you end up having same thing everyday. Specially vegetarians end up eating just the bread butter and fruits. 2. The kitchen closes in the morning so in case you want to have lunch or dinner in the hotel, its not possible. Incase there is rain outside, forget food, even tea or coffer is not possible and you need to wait till gods show mercy for you to eat food. 3. There will be no Toiletries at all. 4. Our AC wasn't working the way it should. The maintenance staff came and put the same on Swing mode and said check now. I said you just put the fan on swing how do you expect it to work?? He also suggested to keep the curtains on so the effectiveness will be more......GOD!! 5. Its close to Airport but a good 10 kilometers away from main place like Chenang Beach or around 20 km from Kuah. There is nothing you can do once you reach back hotel. Its actually a college hostel turned hotel....BTW the college is still operational. 6.Further more in case after you return back hotel after sightseeing with your food packed, it is not even possible to get it heated.They wont let you use even the microwave for that. Ain't this pretty basic????
I wasn't expecting 3 star or 4 star treatment, but was disappointed with even the bare minimum to call it a Lodge.
Totally disappointed. They are so many nice hotels all around Langkawi. This once certainly can be skipped. Best to get one near Chenang beach or Kuah.

The hotel looked lavish. The staffs are polite, well-behaved and adjusting. The food available at the dining hall (buffet/ala carte) was very tasty and presented in a royal way. The rooms were spacious, very clean with a good scenic view of the road and lawns from the room. Free wifi facility was available only at the reception hall and dining hall. On the whole, we had a warm and cozy stay there.

A lot need to be improved regarding cleanliness, amenities and facilities. However, as basic budget hotel, it can be recommended, with reasonable price.
Food department need to be improved
Toilet design n cleanliness is not satisfactory because of the dirt n grout in between tiles..
