I stayed at Soluna Guest house for three nights. I must share with all that my stay was relaxed and one of the most beautiful experiences while in langkawi Island. To begin with, the staff was very very polite, helpful and always smiling. They are always eager to help. Nadia and Man have been warm hosts. The thing I loved the most at Soluna was that I could hear birds chirping all day long during my stay. I woke up to melodious chirping and while I rested on the net, reading my book, I could hear the cookoo singing. Nadia and Man have been very helpful in suggesting where to go and what to eat in langkawi. I had long conversations with both of them during my stay. They know a lot about cultures and Bollywood :P Don't miss the night food market, don't miss the music and dance…
Cannot rate this place high enough. Ended up staying here for about two weeks and could have stayed even longer. Such a peaceful, quiet retreat. It is only a short walking distance from the main strip in Cenang for people wanting to go to all of the restaurants and bars and the beach. Soluna is a beautiful place to relax and feel at home whilst travelling. You can rent scooters from them and book other activities as well. The staff and owner are absolutely lovely and make you feel so welcome. We stayed in both the dorms and the private rooms and both were great. The common areas make it quite easy to chat to other travellers and get to know people. There was also a little of kittens when we stayed there which are unbelievably cute!!
Enchanted place in the middle of the nature, but 5 minutes walk from the stores and the main beach We had a private room with Fan: it was clean and very cozy!! The common area is wonderful to share some time with others or just getting some time for u At the reception u may have the possibility to rent a scooter to wonder around the island or some organised trip to explore incredible places (we did the one for snorkelling, veryvery suggested) Excellent price/quality rate
Everything at that place is great. The kitchen, the rooms, the washroom, the dinning area, the reception area and mainly the people (Nadia and Cloudiya). Beach is really walking distance. Loved the stay
Loved this guesthouse. It is set far enough back to be quiet and rural surrounded by fields, cows, chickens and cats but it's only 5 mins walk to the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff, well looked after communal areas and a huge communal fridge. The room we stayed in was large with private shower and toilet and had aircon plus a ceiling fan. Worth emailing direct even if there is no vacancy on the booking websites.
I’m proud of myself to book this place for my family vacation in Langkawi! This is an ideal place for relaxation and tranquility! Me and my wife r in love with Soluna guest house! When we plan for a vacation, the first thing we expect is to relax; Soluna is the perfect place for relaxing because of the fantastic ambience outside. Its like the place is designed in such away that ur mind and body compels u to relax and feel happy! However As a regular reviewer,i will give the pros and cons below: Pros: 1. The reception staff Nadia, she is a wonderful lady! I had abit of hard time to find the place as it was night, when i approached her,she greeted me by my name, which was pretty impressive! All the way she was amazing! 2. The owner Claudia,an Italian lady with great taste and sense…
Calm and peaceful environment. Green surroundings. Walking distance to the beach and 10 min drive to airport. Many restaurants nearby. Clean and comfy rooms.friendly staff. Access road is not very good.but manageable.
Cant lie although looked smalls, i am satisfied with this place. Since it "guesthouse" u have to share everything except bed and bathroom (obviously) Thank god tht time i got friendly neighborhood. I dont feel like in jails. And its really clear my mind during nights. Great value of money. Ya abt the room, im fine as long there is bed and air-cond :D
Staff are lovely, very good location just far enough away not to be disturbed but a 5 min walk from the main strip and beach. Great restaurants there. The guest house.. was quiet, the bedroom was large but outdated. The pillows where rock hard. Literally rock hard. The bed itself was comfortable. The bathrooms where not clean. Mosquitos everywhere in the bathrooms. And every time you took a shower the toilet seat got completely soaked. I used nearly a whole roll of toilet tissue in 3 days just wiping it down before using. Would recommend if on a budget like we are but you could probably find nicer places if you had more cash to spend.
We booked a ferry from langkawi to koh lanta through Soluna guest house as they were friendly and our stay there was nice. We paid 130MR each and were told we would be picked up at 7:30am and it would take 4-5 hours. The actual journey consisted of a taxi, ferry, three separate buses and then a ferry crossing on the bus, taking 11 hours in total. Completely wasting a day of travelling when we could have arrived to arrive there much quicker ourselves.
